A unique storyline, amazing art direction and simple combat mechanics, Darksiders does things differently enough to distinguish itself as the first great game of 2010 even though its not a perfect game. If you’ve got some money burning a hole in your pocket, Vigil Games’ first effort is worth every dollar.

Brutal Legend is a solid and entertaining game with an entertaining and interesting story with some of the best audio, soundtrack, sound effects and voice acting, seen this year. Unfortunately the game itself is lacking in variety and innovation. Perhaps the massive marketing blitz provided by EA simply drove expectations to unreachable heights. Regardless, Brutal Legend is at least a must try for any fan of open world action.

The game’s difficulty will frustrate you at times but if you are looking for a game to play with friends, it’s hard to not recommend Castle Crashers. The length of the game is perfect for an Arcade title and the customization of characters also gives the game a lot more depth. It is unfortunate that problems exist online, but considering this game can still be enjoyed with up to four people on one console, you’re still getting your MS points worth.

And on top of that, it’s way cheaper to buy a copy of this download than any other method of picking up this game.

Like its predecessor, More Workouts is an interesting addition to your Wii library if you are into the fitness game thing and a complement to the first EA Sports ACTIVE game. There is no doubt that early ACTIVE adopters will jump at the chance to get more ACTIVE but it also packs enough punch to get newcomers on board and at a fairly reasonable price…even though you'll have to buy the leg strap and resistance band separately.

This expansion is certainly geared towards satisfying long-time fans instead of bringing new people into the mix. However, if you're just looking for a fun multiplayer RTS experience, then you won't be disappointed.

Pinball games have been part of video game culture forever and they have been on PC and consoles for a long time as well but we have yet to find a pinball game to give you that pool hall/arcade sound and feel when you are playing your game. While Zen Pinball is a good game I would rather play a real machine than a virtual one but this is certainly one of the most detailed pinball games we have seen in years.

Bit.Trip Beat is my favourite reason to turn on my Wii recently and is a great showpiece to bring out at a party or when friends are visiting. The controls can be a little intimidating and it’s easy to get frustrated but it can also be really addictive. Bit.Trip Beat is a cheap, beautiful looking game that encapsulates what WiiWare should be.

Improvements need to be made, but Metal Gear Rising has already established itself to be an action game well worth buying.

In the end, for those like myself who absolutely adored what Dragon Age: Origins had to offer, you have no reason not to pick up Awakenings and continue your Grey Warden’s epic adventure.
