Metal Eden just needs a little more to truly stand out. Its intriguing story could use tighter pacing and sharper dialogue, its refreshing gunplay could use more variety, and its strong audio could benefit from a bit more polish. It falls just shy in most areas, though its visuals shine as brightly as its setting, but it’s far from awful, just not quite the best.- Game8

Afterlove EP hits deep, like a song that lingers after the last note. Its heartfelt story and striking visuals resonate, but the barebones gameplay feels like a missed beat. Still, branching choices keep it engaging, and its manga-inspired art and soulful soundtrack ensure the experience stays with you.- Game8

Silver and Blood has a compelling story, strong characters, and fast, strategic autobattler gameplay, though everything outside combat feels sluggish and the simple 3D models and clunky UI detract from its stylish manhwa-inspired visuals. Plus, its seemingly generous 4% SSR rate loses appeal once you face the steep demands of duplicate pulls for stat and level caps to maximize performance.- Game8

Constance shines with its vibrant 2D art, crisp platforming, and some clever progression ideas, but ultimately plays second fiddle to one of the genre’s greats. It’s far from a bad game—quite the opposite—but its strengths don’t make it easier to choose over a top-tier rival at the same price. Still, it’s enjoyable in its own right and serves as a refreshing break when Silksong has you worn down.- Game8

Battlefield Waltz blends together love and war to create a compelling tale, supported by charming and well-written characters as well as great character design and sounds that make for an engaging experience. However, its weakness lies in its slow pace in some areas, lack of innovative gameplay, as well as a steep price tag that may intimidate some.- Game8

Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World is familiar, cozy, and just a little shinier than before. The upgrade smooths out performance, makes those transformations pop, and wraps everything in an extra layer of polish with a bonus adventure that’s light but worth a spin. It’s not rewriting the Kirby playbook or flexing the Switch 2’s muscles in a big way, but honestly? It doesn’t need to. For anyone chasing colorful worlds, hidden goodies, and that classic Kirby charm, this is still one of the pink puffball’s best adventures.- Game8

PEAK is short, sharp, and brutal—in the best way. Its tight mechanics, clever co-op design, and devilish biomes make every climb memorable, even when the servers don’t hold up. While bugs and communication issues occasionally get in the way, the game’s charm and challenge more than make up for it, especially considering the price. This is the kind of game that doesn’t just test your reflexes—it tests your friendships, and somehow makes that feel rewarding.- Game8

Lay of the Land is a decent game at its core, with almost all the basic sandbox game mechanics ready in one package—sprawling land, intricate building mechanics, decent crafting gameplay, and basic combat—but ultimately, it feels like an Early Access title that hasn’t had enough time to cook in the oven yet. It’s got a solid foundation of its basic gameplay mechanics, but it could definitely benefit from a lot more improvements in the long run.- Game8

Labyrinth of the Demon King has its flaws, sure—but it’s got a certain charm that makes it hard to put down. Its combat system is fast and reflex-heavy, and while it’s definitely rewarding if you play it straight, it doesn’t take much to break once you know what you’re doing. Still, with its tight visuals, creepy enemies, and wonderfully distorted audio, it nails the retro horror vibe in all the right ways.- Game8

Etheria: Restart delivers a strong PvP-focused experience with deep mechanics and smart character design, making it a serious contender in the turn-based genre. However, its weak story mode holds it back from reaching its full potential. More concerning is the preferential treatment of a special class of heroes, which could easily disrupt game balance if left unchecked.- Game8

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition's Switch 2 port is great, especially since being able to play it on the go at 60 FPS and at a higher resolution is a dream come true. However, it could've been the perfect version had it used more of the Switch 2's capabilities.- Game8

ROUTINE is an immersive, tense first-person horror game that excels at atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and stealth-based tension. Its minimalist systems and basic gameplay loop may feel limiting, and the story never fully engages or surprises, but those willing to embrace the game’s focused design will find a highly rewarding experience. It perfectly conveys the sense of being utterly alone on a derelict lunar base, and despite its flaws, it’s a compelling journey for fans of atmospheric horror.- Game8

The Precinct is an engaging and atmospheric neon-noir cop simulator that, while not without its flaws, delivers a unique and satisfying experience. Its combination of immersive city patrols, crime-solving mechanics, and customization options make it a compelling addition to the genre. The game's occasional partner quirks and interruptions in the dispatch system might detract from the experience, but they don't overshadow the overall enjoyment. If you're into gritty crime thrillers with open-world gameplay, it's definitely worth considering.- Game8

SUPERVIVE is a bold and electrifying fusion of MOBA and Battle Royale, bursting with style, energy, and a cast of fun characters that make every match a thrill. Its core gameplay loop is effortlessly addictive, pulling players into a whirlwind of fast-paced action. Yet, this brilliance is dimmed by the misstep of the Armory system—a clunky, imbalance-inducing mechanic that disrupts the game's natural rhythm. SUPERVIVE still shines, but with refinement, it could truly soar.- Game8

Even though People of Note doesn’t always find its rhythm, it’s still a decent turn-based RPG with a strong identity. The story and characters are likable and relatable, but the pacing rushes important beats and leaves some arcs feeling undercooked. It’s consistently enjoyable, sure, just not as deep or as bold as it could have been, especially in its gameplay mechanics.- Game8

Essentially a free-to-play Animal Crossing-Palia-Infinity Nikki cross, Heartopia is a free-to-play life-simulation game that’s simple, accessible, and cozy for all. It offers casual, engaging gameplay and bright audio-visual presentation, bringing together familiar cozy game elements for a fun experience. While it does have optimization problems from being a direct mobile port that can deter from the experience, it’s still worth its content.- Game8

Subliminal isn’t perfect, but it knows how to get under your skin. Some rough edges and unforgiving segments prevent it from being flawless, yet the story, atmosphere, and psychological tension pull you in and keep you thinking even after completing an ending. While it may not appeal to everyone, for those willing to dive into its eerie corridors and confront Caleb’s fracturing mind, it delivers a sharp, immediate sense of horror that keeps your heart racing while you’re playing.- Game8

Yooka-Replaylee finally feels like the game it was always meant to be—an expansive, polished platformer that celebrates the genre’s golden days. Its worlds are denser, its controls tighter, and its charm undeniable, making it a joy for both newcomers and longtime fans. But despite its many improvements, a lightweight story, overwhelming collectibles, and a handful of dated quirks keep it from true greatness. What we’re left with is a game that shines brightly, even if it never quite reaches the top of the platforming mountain.- Game8

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered arrives on international shores for the first time with a fresh coat of paint, so lovingly polished for modern eyes. Its roots are unmistakably Vita-era, with all the clunky lock-ons and sterile arenas that implies, but when you’re soaring through the stars, beam saber in hand, it’s easy to forgive the rough edges. The game trusts its audience to know the lore, feel the weight of its Mobile Suits, and embrace its mission-based grind like slipping into an old pilot suit.- Game8

Everything may be crab, but not everything is well with Everything is Crab. It’s a tad too simple for its enterprising attempt at evolving the roguelite formula, but I still think it’s another crab game that’s worth treasuring. Splicing simply addictive gameplay with a famous high-brow meme and enough difficulty levels to challenge anyone, this game’s got the potential to template a better attempt in the future. We must’ve just caught it mid-evolution is all.- Game8

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion isn’t quite the blockbuster-level beat 'em up game that rivals the likes of Street of Rage 4 and TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. It has clear flaws in its progression systems and stage design, but it's undeniable that it's presentation is top-notch, it has good variety in its characters, and is fun and simple enough for everyone to play.- Game8

Little Nightmares 3 is a beautifully haunting continuation that captures the series’ unsettling charm but hesitates to evolve. Its atmosphere, art direction, and emotional weight are undeniable, pulling you once again into a world of quiet dread and fragile hope. While the new mechanics add layers of cooperation and tension, they’re often underused. Beyond that, several missed opportunities—like local co-op—keep the game from stepping into greatness.- Game8

RV There Yet? might not be the most intricate or polished co-op game out there, but it’s effortlessly fun. Its mix of teamwork, physics-driven chaos, and laid-back humor strikes that rare balance between laughter and light frustration. With a bit more content or fine-tuning, it could easily become a standout in the genre—but as it stands, it’s a scrappy, endearing road trip that delivers exactly the kind of good time it promises.- Game8

If Chef RPG’s early access were a real restaurant, it’d be considered a successful soft opening. Like any startup, there’s room for improvement, with a few features still needing more time to cook. But after simmering for four years, it’s clear the game was made with immense love and passion, showing more polish than many higher-budget titles. A little more seasoning—some salt, pepper, and extra spice—and it’s well on its way to earning a 3-star Michelin rating. [Early Access Score = 84]- Game8
