While NHL Hitz is definitely an easy game to pick up and play, the simplicity also makes for a game with a limited interest factor. After a few hours of checking and one-timers, it starts to get a bit dull.

A great animated cartoon cleverly disguised as a rather lame Playstation 2 game. Great presentation is wasted on forgettable gameplay.

Boasts probably the most talented pool of voice actors ever collected for a video game, from several star-studded notables to Disney's fantastic stable of character actors. These voices vividly bring the characters to life.

Offers great production softened by gameplay more derivative than a cloned ear, and will have lasting appeal really only to most hardcore racers.

It's a breath of fresh air to have a nonviolent place you can bring kids to without any misgivings. Maybe they'll learn about the importance of debt reduction as well.

A clever offshoot of the "Tetris" formula, but winds up rather overcooked.

This is a whole new level of online first-person fragging, and though it's not without its missteps, it's about as close to the front lines as you're gonna get while staring at your monitor....A very, very compelling game.

The tough control won't convert the blasphemers and the look needs a facelift, but the action, longevity, depth and style still make this the Liege Lord of mech games on the Playstation and Playstation 2.

An A-list, big budget, mass market, entry level MMORPG. It's simply terrific for a while, and the easiest-to-play massively multiplayer game so far.

It's always just race after race after race with same amount of cash and the same prizes without any incentive outside of buying a new car or tuning the existing one. Frankly, it gets dull.

Though the gameplay, levels and story are exactly the same across all three platforms, the PS2 version is the worst of the lot due to the choppy graphics and limited multiplayer.

Possibly the most misleading title of all time, since this game hasn't evolved at all.

It's a shame that some poor game design choices mar an otherwise pretty game, one with potential and one that they clearly spent a lot of time on.

Simply a subpar port of a pretty good PC strategy game. The difficult controls coupled with the difficult gameplay lead to a game that's just too difficult for most console gamers, and not in a good way.

Solid gameplay with plenty of new improvements make Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny another fine blade.

Mafia takes the idea of the bustling city to a new, incredibly ambitious level with an awe-inspiring sense of detail and forethought. Without a doubt, the game is gorgeous.

The headset works well, the gameplay is fairly solid and the online teamwork can be addicting. Just make sure your wallet can absorb the punishment, recruit.

But while exercising my stealth skills can be fun in the myriad of mazes the Nazis have set for me, my inability to fight back and incessant item hunting have driven me quite mad. Yes, quite.

While this isn't an altogether epic quest or a ballyhooed Second Coming of Mario, it is simply a very fun game with ample difficulty in the right places, and that special elfin magic that keeps you playing long into the night.

Overwhelmingly good. This game is one of the finest gridiron products on the market with great gameplay, smooth graphics and options that would take all day to describe. While perhaps not a perfect football game (if there is such a thing), NFL 2K3 definitely raises the bar.

The skimpy single player game, the lack of an internal matchmaker, the clean but very simple graphics and the inability to save your game make Moonbase Commander feel more like a hobby than a commercial product. That doesn't mean it's not fun.

The updated engine and trick system make for plenty of fun, but the irritating level setup will make all but the burliest riders drop their controllers in annoyance. However, this game is on the right track.
