Controlling these guys is a snap thanks to a simple and efficient setup.

If you're one of those gamers with a predilection for The Creeps - you know who you are - Fatal Frame is simply a must-see.

The vehicles aren't the only things basking in graphical splendor. The entire game amazes...[but] I did notice that the load times are a little hefty for a system with a hard drive.

Even though Star Trek Bridge Commander has some wicked crashing issues and the single player is a little too linear, there's a very cool game in here. If you have the patience and a great rig, give it a shot.

While the strategy series is a study in gameplay refinement, Renegade is a somewhat typical FPS and sacrifices the needs of the solo gamer for the benefit of the clan.

The smashing of heads and delivery of pain is fun, but is ultimately undermined by the awful camera and limited gameplay.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the heinous menu music. During Franchise mode, there's this rap song - I think it's rap - that sounds like a reject from the "Breakin'" soundtrack. It's neither hip nor hop.

It's not as groundbreaking as the original, but it's just about as fun.

Smooth graphics and a slew of modes and features make this a game Xbox baseball fans won't want to miss.

Unfortunately, they have opted for color over realism. This is not a good thing, as it gives the game a cartoony look and can make it difficult to tell the difference between a dirt road and, say, that mud embankment up ahead.

Offers a freewheeling world, fuzzy-but-attractive graphics, overall elegant production values and a main character you can root for, making it one of the best things to happen to the pirate genre in a long time.

Though packed with more bloodshed than a European soccer match, there's not enough actual gameplay in this one to qualify it as a good game.

The lack of modes and overly complex control could be forgiven. Hell, I could even overlook the lack of voices (characters <I>and</I> announcers), but no save feature? WWF Raw really feels half-finished.

While not the graphical grand-slam 3DO promised, High Heat 2003 is a fresh game, a better game than its predecessors and a worthy contribution to any digital slugger's collection.

When all is said and done, Maximo just doesn't provide any staying power. If you've got all four special kisses (you'll have to find out about that for yourself) and pass the game, you'll unlock the art gallery. But since when has art ever been a highlight?

It's still a great weekend rental, but even the Jawas wouldn't be able to do much with it when you're through.

Even on a system where you'd never expect to see the blue streak, there are plenty of classic wide-eyed moments of joy following the heels of the world's fastest, most arrogant hedgehog.

Though improvements are obvious in the looks, the controls leave a bit to be desired.

Despite its somewhat unfinished feel and limited gameplay, Wreckless still manages to kick some vehicular ass. The driving is excellent and the graphics engine is nothing short of an Xbox showpiece.

A good game peppered with numerous little annoying bits. Still, the item acquisition, terrific fighting and solid graphics offer good adventure fun, and you could do a lot worse.
