Straddles the line between good design and mediocrity so consistently that it's hard to love it or hate it.- Game Power Australia

It's true that Valve's sequel isn't as revolutionary as the original was back in 1998, but it's arguably the best first person shooter you've ever played, and that certainly makes it worth your while.- Game Power Australia

The cars sound great, and have more of an individual roar than they did in the first game, which racing aficionados will no doubt appreciate.- Game Power Australia

It's fair to say that, despite all its new content, Jak 3 does feel a lot like "Jak II." Many of the animations and sound effects have been recycled, along with huge portions of Haven City.- Game Power Australia

It isn't a game that truly pushes the envelope, but it is one of the best shooters we've played in years, and it's one of the most solid multiplayer packages ever released.- Game Power Australia

This kind of multiplayer in Sony's family friendly mascot franchise may sound odd, but it's actually a whole lot of fun, and offers the kind of compelling team-based experience that's traditionally not found in console shooters.- Game Power Australia

Unfortunately, Sega SuperStars is missing one crucial thing - a multiplayer mode. You can enter your name at the end of each game if you've scored well enough, and the ability to take a photo of the winner and save it along with the score is nice, but there's no structured multiplayer mode such as the one found in EyeToy: Play.- Game Power Australia

While it's a competent shooter that can provide some great thrills, it's simply not in the same league as this holiday season's best first person shooters.- Game Power Australia

Appalling online support, terrible voice acting and only incremental updates to the core gameplay make this a somewhat disappointing instalment, but it's built on rock solid foundations, which means that anyone who enjoys wrestling games will still get a whole lot out THQ's latest title.- Game Power Australia

It's not just the best Grand Theft Auto to date, it's possibly the best game you'll ever play on PlayStation 2. It's simply that good.- Game Power Australia

It's easy to see how far games have come in the last 18 years when you play OutRun 2 (especially as the original game is included on the disc), but its nice to know that Sega hasn't felt the need to overhaul the timeless gameplay.- Game Power Australia

Given your dim-witted team mates and the haphazard aiming, you're going to die quite often (mostly because of incoming grenades), and replaying such huge chunks of the levels is really frustrating.- Game Power Australia

Some of the gameplay is a little sloppy, and its story mode could be longer, but on the whole it's a quality production that anyone still interested in the genre will enjoy.- Game Power Australia

The return of classic characters like Baraka, Nightwolf, Kabal and Sindel will spark the interest of anyone who used to love these games, and the vast amount of unlockable content makes the latest Mortal Kombat good value for money.- Game Power Australia

Midway's "Psi-Ops" does do a better job of implementing psychic powers and building gameplay around them, but Second Sight's characters and story make it worth your time.- Game Power Australia

Aside from some texture and shadowing issues on PlayStation 2, Star Wars: Battlefront looks great. Its characters animate well and the environments capture the feel of the movie locations accurately – there's nothing quite like a heated battle in the treetop villages of Endor, especially when the odd Ewock is caught in a grenade blast (shame on us…).- Game Power Australia

A terrific upgrade to what's obviously been a very successful franchise, but if a third evolution is to continue captivating audiences, it needs to take the Sims well outside of their houses and strolling down the streets of Sim City.- Game Power Australia
