Scaler is fun and easy to play. Its colorful characters will be sure to satisfy the children out there.
-
Cheat Code CentralWith living, breathing backgrounds, smooth animation and a colorful cartoon presentation the graphics are nothing short of amazing for a game in this price range.
-
What it lacks in innovation it more than makes up in style, humor and solid game mechanics. Controls feel smooth and responsive and the action is always brisk. The inclusion of evolutionary transformations is an especially nice touch.
-
It's not entirely engaging or original, but it is fun. It's attractive, sounds nice, and the story-for all its faults-can be ignored safely with no detrimental effects.
-
There's nothing especially wrong with it to make it something worth drawing ire over, but at the same time, it never finds a way to actually draw you into its experience, and it just seems to lack the intangible qualities needed to make a truly successful platformer.
-
There is an element of comedy in Scaler and it is very welcome -it does lack the wittiness of, say, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, but it does make the game that much more enjoyable.
-
Game InformerWow, generic platform games have reached a new pinnacle of dull and cliche. [Feb 2005, p.113]

KatApr 19, 2005I don't care what Game Informer said. They can't tell good games when they see them. I think a game starring lizards is great!
