Hiragana Pixel Party may be a rhythm game but it's not on this side that its qualities stand out the most - its rhythm component is too simplistic and shallow, it's rather the game's educational side that allows it to best display its assets. Featuring a surprisingly fun mechanic that teaches its players to learn a series of Japanese characters, Hiragana Pixel Party achieves a satisfactory balance between educational content and fun.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood brings back this creative and interesting platformer full of puzzles for its premiere in the Nintendo Switch. While this edition brings nothing different compared to the original, those who haven't had the chance to play it earlier will find a captivating, varied and fun game that will keep the players around their consoles.

Embers of Mirrim is a surprising platformer in the Switch catalog that proposes to the players a very own atmosphere and a wide variety of ideas in the gameplay mechanics. While there are some frustrating elements in the mix, the overall experience is very rewarding and Embers of Mirrim is without any doubt a recommended game for any fan of platform games with a strong puzzle component.

Being too slow during the combats and lacking any depth in its mechanics, ACORN Tactics is lacking on elements that players take for granted in tactical and strategic games and overall, this game does not amount to a fun experience.

Pinball FX3 brings to the Nintendo Switch a wealth of tables based on many different and very known licenses from the worlds of gaming and film. Thanks to the option for a vertical view, the game allows the player to have a full vision of the table and the game offers enough fun for many, many hours of play.

The game doesn't make the same splash elsewhere and its interface is more complicated than it should be, while some sound problems make it less pleasant on the ears in contrast to its well-designed visuals. Nonetheless, One More Dungeon can still be an entertaining piece of gaming.

It would be misguided to see Yono and the Celestial Elephants as children's game. Beyond an obvious appeal to younger players, this game can surprise those older and more experienced through its approach to surprisingly relevant issues. Its difficulty, however, could use a little shake up, as its puzzles can feel too simple and the game's story is too short.

80's Overdrive is a fun and enjoyable arcade-style racing game that will certainly resonate with long-time fans of this style. Its main flaws lie mostly on the lack of a multiplayer mode and a gameplay that sometimes may feel a bit frustrating but overall, the experience is rewarding and well worthy of the player's time.

Binaries brings forth a good concept and ideas in a package that features a good and effective presentation. It doesn't quite fulfill its potential, though, as it relies too much on its difficulty level and ends up not providing sense of satisfaction to the player, which can make its experience somewhat frustrating.

Serial Cleaner brings a 70s-style ambiance to a stealth game and it does a very good job at that. Thanks to its sharp humour and fun action, Serial Cleaner is one of the most remarkable indie games on the Nintendo Switch and its refurbishing mechanic when the player loses adds more variety and extends its lifespan.

Throughout the game's puzzles, the player is free to take an individual approach which helps Uurnog stand out in its mechanics. A game that makes it impossible to have the same experience twice and which allows for a multitude of solutions to each challenge, this is indeed a title to be handled by anyone who enjoys a creative approach and out of the box thinking.

    RTO
An FPS in a handheld console may not be the best idea but RTO goes beyond and performs terribly. Not just its audiovisual component is very much subpar, the gameplay mechanics offer no interest whatsoever to the player and adding to that, the price asked for RTO, it's difficult to understand how any player can enjoy this experience.

Maria the Witch has one superficial element in its defence, which is a rather pleasant visual outlook...and that's it. Beyond this, the game's appalling controls and mechanics make it impossible to recommend to anyone at all and it features no redeeming factors whatsoever.

L.A. Noire on the Nintendo Switch brings back the best of this criminal investigation game, as its excellent actor performances and facial animation still look impressive. As unique as L.A. Noire is, however, the conversion to the Nintendo Switch also has its flaws and it doesn't add anything too significant to the original game.

Wheels of Aurelia brings forward a hybrid between a visual novel and a driving simulator, where the dialogues are topical and captivating and give the game a unique flair. Disappointingly, Wheels of Aurelia does not mange to fulfill all its promises and the game's interaction ends up feeling short and the way the dialogues are carried out does not live up to the game's premise.

Mario Party: The Top 100 is a blessing and a disappointment at the same time. If the game should be praised for bringing some of the best minigames of the Mario Party series to the 3DS and features a long lifespan with very good control systems, it also focuses a lot less on the multiplayer component and feels like it lost some of its "party game" qualities.

While its visual environment is original and competent, the game has little originality and a rather short lifespan. If its simplicity is a welcome trait when played on a mobile device, on a console the standards are higher and Squareboy vs Bullies: Arena Edition does not rise up to that challenge.

Worms W.M.D. is a game worthy of the Worms series and a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch library. Not only it features the classic gameplay of the Worms series and an abundant amount of content but it also offers its players high visual standards and plenty of customization options. A sign that the series is alive and well.

Mantis Burn Racing expands the Nintendo Switch catalog on the racing genre and brings forth a fun and well-made effort, featuring an entertaining driving challenge, with plenty of content to explore and very detailed visuals. It doesn't avoid a certain feeling of repetitiveness but Mantis Burn Racing has what it takes to be a recommended racing game for the Nintendo Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an exquisite game that will surely satisfy the fans with its enormous lifespan, visual style and abundant possibilities. That said, the game starts rather slowly and its user interface could certainly be friendlier, which can only lead to the hope that such situations will be corrected soon through downloadable updates.

Plantera could have improved on its conversion to the Nintendo Switch but other than its interface and screen resolution, everything remains the same. This is a game that is oversimplified to the point where it does not offer any experience of significant interest whatsoever and quickly falls into a dull and repetitive cycle.

Xenoraid follows a different path to most shoot'em ups and that is something to praise. The game features plenty of fast action that forces the players to be well prepared but its difficulty conditions, more based on restricting the player, end up harming the game, which too many times feels very constricting.

Tennis in the Face is a game that was designed for short and fun gaming sessions. With plenty of action and bedlam, the game does its job, even if it doesn't innovate or break any new grounds. While it could have some more variety concerning the enemies, Tennis in the Face will keep its players amused for some intense sessions.

Snow Moto Racing Freedom may not have much competition on the Nintendo Switch catalogue but that doesn't make it a groundbreaking game alone. Due to its unrefined gameplay and visible technical issues, this is not a game that will please everyone.

Crimsonland is packed with gut-wrenching action and features plenty of weapons and elements that will keep up to four players interested for some time. It doesn't go too far on its level design, however, as the game becomes too repetitive and lacks some truly innovative elements.

Splasher is an interesting and fulfilling game, thanks to its good level design and to its simple nature, which allows for fun and compelling experiences in the right amounts of time. Thanks to its action elements and especially to its time mechanics, Time Recoil is an interesting game that brings an original and welcome experience to the catalog of the Nintendo Switch. While its graphics may be too simplistic and its plot not more than a motif to justify the game's action, Time Recoil brings very good action moments and it's a proposal that is very well suited to short gaming sessions.
