Blackguards 2 is the true heir of the first chapter, and there's enough to keep the fans busy for many strategic gameplay hours.

Disgaea D2 retrieves the elements of classic gameplay of the series by offering a very tight chapter: the most inaccessible. The result is a fitting title almost exclusively to fans.

Even if the action overwhelms the tactic, Fistful of Cake is a great start for the first portable title of the brand.

It expands on the original background, and somehow manages to fix some of the few issues of the main chapter, namely linearity. A great DLC, which you should absolutely consider if you loved Outlast.

Resonance of Fate, despite its overwhelming difficulty, is a splendid example of how a classic structure can meet fresh situations and stories.

GRIP: Combat Racing will delight the nostalgics grown up on bread and Rollcage, accustomed to frills and testosterone-rich races. However, bringing back past productions is a risky choice, and it is precisely on certain roughness that the stock loses points, precluding excellence due to smudges in the design of the tracks and in the collision system.

I Am Setsuna is a nostalgic JRPG: it takes Chrono Trigger's gameplay and puts it into a fascinating setting. The adventure is brief but enthralling, and the game represents a great debut for the Tokyo RPG Factory, a little Team Square-Enix assembled to create old school game experiences.

There was great curiosity for this fifth chapter dedicated to the world of American Supercross. Milestone confirmed the good he had already shown with the MXGP series, even if the overall result is not exceptional. We are facing a discreet title with some strengths and weaknesses: the graphics sector is still not up to par with the new consoles, while the AI would need the algorithms developed by Milestone itself for the MotoGP series. However, it is a fun title to play, with a highly customizable and surprisingly challenging driving model. The content offer regarding the game modes is good, while the possibility of downloading the contents produced by the community is confirmed as a nice plus.

More varied than its predecessor, it's unique, fast and addicting. On top of that, it adds new layers to the peculiar narration, making it way more interesting.

And it would be a shame that after reopening the Famicom Detective Club "case", Nintendo does not follow up on the saga, because here is the material and there are the characters to give life to a long and beautiful series of detective stories.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a worthwhile way to revisit one of the classic adventures in the series, which, despite some shortcomings, was somewhat underestimated upon its initial release. The remake in the Dragon Engine faithfully reconstructs memorable scenes centered around iconic characters, and it includes welcome additions and a few missed opportunities. It's a shame, however, about a particular narrative choice, which, especially in the way it was presented, we found difficult to accept and which will likely displease long-time fans. On the other hand, Dark Ties effectively enriches the character of Mine, and more generally, the package created by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio offers many hours of good entertainment, even if it's not without filler content and elements that don't quite fit the characters. Yet, there's reason to rejoice: finally, the real Yakuza is back.

One of the best example of point and click adventure of the last years, made by the award-winning German studios Daedalic Entertainment. Recommended to all fans of the genre and lovers of LucasArts classics.

The first episode piles up this cauldron of topics, and the hope is that the next acts can give each narrative theme the space and depth it deserves. Given the premises, in any case, the memories of the twins Tyler and Alyson - however painful - still deserve to be (re) lived.

A wider Story Mode and the possibility of taking advantage of a more structured tutorial could have further enriched a title that was already solid in terms of content, which is placed with originality in the panorama of management systems with a corporate background.

If it were not for the abrupt, bad and intrusive interruptions of a really badly managed inventory and some forced dialogue in some phases of the adventure, we would then find ourselves in front of a real masterpiece.

PowerWash Simulator turned out to be a relaxing and engaging experience that gives its best in short and immediate missions, thanks also to a series of gadgets that further enrich the gameplay of the game. Everything becomes complicated when the cleaning activity involves levels of considerable extension, monotonous in the long run and marked by some design problems that break the Zen formula much sought after by this simulation.

A solid but not excellent puzzle game. The Turing Test is a nice title, with interesting puzzles and an enigmatic story. Some rooms are complex and compelling, but at the end of the adventure truly memorable puzzles will be less than expected.

Steelrising could and should have been Spiders' test of maturity, but unfortunately the French studio was unable to hit the target even on this round. Although the developer has come up with some appreciable and in some cases brilliant ideas, it is their realization that is not convincing in the least, as different mechanics upset the system and create an annoying imbalance between the balance of the various categories of weapons. If we add to this the usual woody animations that the Spiders action RPG have in common, the final result is an imperfect and incomplete product in several respects. On the flip side, Steelrising enjoys a whimsical and inspired narrative framework, that in the twenty hours needed to reach the end credits easily captures the attention and above all the curiosity of the player.

Phoenix Point remains a solid and pleasant title, but it is more similar to a "craft" job than to an interesting reinterpretation of the games it is inspired by.
