On balance, Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons captured us with its playful system halfway between tradition and innovation and was able to give us several hours of carefree fun. It is not a perfect title and perhaps it will not reach the heights reached by the fourth chapter of Streets of Rage but it is still nice to see such an important series rise from its ashes offering both newbies and historical fans the opportunity to return to impersonate the Lee brothers and their companions. If you are a fan of the scrolling beat 'em up genre, you should definitely give it a shot.

Net of some rough edges in terms of gameplay, the absence of co-op and a sometimes repetitive campaign, Teardown is surprising. Every single scenario is like a huge playground where the user is free to do whatever he likes, and not only in the Sandbox mode but also to finish the story missions. If we then consider that the production is available from day one in the PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium subscription (and is compatible with streaming in the PS5 cloud) we can only advise you to try to demolish some buildings made of voxels at least once.

Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars is a good turn-based strategy, limited by some obvious flaws. However it is definitely recommended for lovers of the genre.

As a third iteration of this shooter shooter, however, Battle for Neighborville expresses itself in a very similar way to its predecessors, deviating very little in terms of offer and gameplay. We are talking, however, about a very enjoyable game, with an apt progression that will keep you busy for a long time, especially considering the updates that will come in the future.

Kokuga is an interesting shooter with some innovative mechanics, unfortunately marred by a sub-standard realization and a clumsy level design.

Elden Ring Nightreign is a project made of lights and shadows. On one hand, we find the excellent gameplay organism of Elden Ring, effectively transposed into a cooperative roguelite context without losing an ounce of its sparkling enamel, a convincing cast of characters and a wide selection of new bosses. To eliminate them all, in this regard, it will take at least 30 hours, with an upward or downward oscillation depending on the skill of the team. On the other hand, however, there are content and balance naivety that prevent the new work from aspiring to the same heights of excellence reached by the 2022 title and its DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. We are aware that with a well-defined update program in the coming weeks we could find ourselves in the presence of a completely different experience but, at least for the moment, we can talk about a great experiment that is half successful.

In a wonderful cartoon world populated by Mii characters, the players are able to play twelve different games, inspired by Nintendo biggest franchise, from Super Mario to Zelda. Nintendo Land is the perfect bundle game for the imminent launch of the new Nintendo console. We suggest the game to all the Wii U buyers, Nintendo fans, and casual gamers.

The San Diego Studio simulation also proves solid in the new vintage: the gameplay remains sumptuous, even if some modes are starting to feel the weight of the years. From this point of view we expected something new. The ability to play it directly on the GamePass on Day One is an added value for all baseball fans on Xbox, while the arrival on Nintendo Switch will make many players happy. Despite the conservative approach held by SDS, MLB The Show 22 confirms itself, together with NBA 2K22, the best sports simulation available for the new generations of consoles.

Puddle is another good puzzle game for PS Vita. Despite its charming graphic style and sound, its good longevity, its responsive control system and a well packed gameplay, Puddle fails to enchant and surprise as hoped.

Some good ideas are spoiled by the complete absence of realism during the fight. Ground fights are well reproduced, but punches and kicks have no strength and no physical adherence to reality.

Ultimately, Super Monkey Ball Banan Rumble is the classic hit-and-run game that will give great satisfaction especially to those who love playing multiplayer, whether with friends at home or online. Perhaps dedicating yourself only to the single player mode is not enough to fully enjoy the experience, but the quantity of stages and the vast range of customization could satisfy even those who only want to try their hand at the Adventure. The strong point of the production is certainly the gameplay, which offers a mix of simplicity, immediacy and depth capable of satisfying both casual players and those looking for a higher level of challenge.

It's ironic how a product called "Unbound" is, in contrast, still so harnessed by the canons of traditional open world racing games, resulting all too similar to its direct predecessor. Need For Speed Unbound is a solid title overall , provided, however, that you approach it without too many pretensions. Net of some structural problems that can make you turn up your nose, the game manages to entertain, thanks to a deep customization of the vehicles and a multiplayer that works properly. The original sin, however, lies in the wanting to insist on a slightly lazy playful formula. production that unfortunately does not deviate from the trend that starts from Burnout Paradise and links all the Need For Speed released in the last decade, son of a repeated life a little indolent. There is therefore a need for Electronic Arts to get back on track and engage the turbo as soon as possible, if it wants to return to excel in the panorama of arcade driving games.

The playful formula of Amnesia: The Bunker is configured as the most articulated and varied in the entire history of the brand. The introduction of weapons proved to be pleasant, because it was far from a risky action drift. Even the fascinating setting chosen for this new iteration confirms the indisputable talent of Frictional Games in crafting digital nightmares. Ultimately, if you are a fan of the series or are simply looking for a horror that thrives on tension, characterized by a valuable level design and well-crafted gameplay, you have come to the right place: the Amnesia bunker is a place you will never forget easily.

Mario & Luigi: Charged Brothers enriches the already rich Nintendo Switch offering with an adventure that has its roots in the brand's role-playing tradition, but manages to modernize it in practically every aspect. Despite some uncertainties on the technical side and an unbalanced level of challenge, this is a great event for all Mario Brothers fans that could also be a great surprise for those simply looking for a role-playing game to spend a few dozen hours of lighthearted fun.

Arma 2 retains the philosophy of Operation Flashpoint, ad offers a realistic war experience, with no compromises. The gameplay is full of opportunity: the strategic and tactical freedom given to the player grants an excellent dynamism. Obviously, the title is difficult, deep, ad suitable for resolute players. But, after all, War has never been a bed of roses.

Fifteen years after the dazzling debut of Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii, the platformer by Retro Studios returns to Nintendo Switch in a remastered edition. While in terms of content, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD simply brings together in one place what was offered by the original and the subsequent porting for 3DS, the graphical update is impressive, with DK Island showing off a renewed richness of color. With a high-profile level design and a world overflowing with secrets, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD presents Nintendo Switch owners with a platformer beloved by fans and critics alike, capable of standing the test of time with flying colors.
