A psychological horror game with an intense and engaging story that fails to bring something new to the genre, but if you liked movies like “A Cure for Wellness” or “The Lighthouse”, this one's for you.

The Darkest Tales is a pleasant title but one that doesn't find the courage to experiment with something new in classic game mechanics. The plot and the settings, however, manage to emerge positively.

The Last Oricru starts from some good ideas but unfortunately poorly developed or not fully developed. Almost everything is to be reviewed, from the narrative choises and characterization to the combat system, bad most of the time. Hopefully, these criticisms will lead to a more refined second job.

The Divine Force isn’t one of the worst chapters in this long-running JRPG franchise, but it fails to bring the series to a new generation. Despite the good efforts made to revamp the combat system and give more freedom to the players, the game feels like a JRPG of ten years ago.

The Winter's story comes to an end in this first (and last) DLC for Resident Evil Village, which includes the highly-demanded third person view and a bunch of new contents for Mercenaries mode. It is worth your money if you are planning to play the entire game again and you're a die-hard fan of secondary challenges.

Batora: Lost Haven is a story driven action / RPG characterized by a very good combat system and a solid flow. The first original IP from Stormind Games is flawed only in terms of the impact of the system of choices, which is less profound than the game suggests. However, we are in the presence of a fun and replayable production.

With Gotham Knights WB Games Montreal delivers a pretty decent and enjoyable action game with structural and balance issues that result in a mere distant echo of Rocksteady's Arkham series.

New Tales from The Borderlands follows the step of its predecessor, with a well written story and a cast of protagonists that will entertain you for hours. The cell shading style and the filmmaker direction make the whole package well worthy of your time.

Illfonic delivers another asymmetric multiplayer game based on a famous franchise with great but unexpressed potential, just like Predator: Hunting Ground and Friday The 13th: The Game. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed desperately needs new maps and modes to attract a bigger audience and be the game it was meant to be.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is an exciting and moving journey into the relationship between Amicia and Hugo. Unfortunately, the gameplay is too guided sometime breaking the suspension of disbelief.

Despite a troubled development, Scorn managed to evolve over the years, to reach a visual and aesthetic power hardly achieved by other video games, including AAA. Unfortunately, the gameplay core is anachronistic and makes the gaming experience unsatisfactory, at times even frustrating... certainly light-years behind the artistic aspects of the title.

Bricktales is a slightly different game from the previous LEGO titles, that puts “construction” and “creativity” right in the center of the experience. Not a masterpiece but definitely an enjoyable one.

Bub and Bob embark in a new adventure, this time in 3D... and VR! Puzzle Bobble 3D: Vacation Odyssey is a decent puzzle game despite some annoying technical problems, surprisingly better in virtual reality than standard mode.

Valkyrie Elysium is an honest game, but victim of very evident production limits, which combined with the general result cannot justify the payment at full price. Despite being able to offer an interesting combat system, the game is characterized by a very mild progression and a structure that is all too simple, although solid.

One step back for the gorgeous Nier Automata on the Nintendo Switch . The game is still entertaining but the equation 720p/1080p + 30fps doesn't give the best result. The “portability factor” adds something, but not enough to convince those who already played the game on other platforms.

The DioField Chronicle is a game of missed opportunities. A series of cliché gameplay, only improved by an enjoyable semi-real time combat system, that is both choreographic and engaging. The flat character depiction, and the forgettable story sadly come as added baggage to a promising title that could have been much more.

Despite a new graphic style and a slightly better combat scheme, Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 delivers the same experience of previous game: good narrative and decent gameplay... but fans of Lovecraft needs something more “peculiar” and terrifying.

NBA 2K23 is still the best NBA game on the market, only because there are no competitors. There are new fun game modes like Jordan Challange but the online component of all the game modes once again relies too much on micro-transaction. Being competitive as a no money spent player is too much time consuming, and worse than last year. Gameplay wise, there are some improvements but some ancient problems remain, like choppy shooting system and an AI that cannot defend against 5-out.

SBK 22 is the great return of Milestone in this category, with a good game in its structure and a driving model that distinguishes it from what has been seen in MotoGP. However, it is necessary to find a greater personality and above all, a greater variety in the contents.

Addressed to the fans of Hiroiko Araki's manga, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is marked by strengths and weaknesses of the title dated 2014, only proposing small adjustments certainly not able to change the original judgment. Featuring simple and spectacular gameplay, CyberConnect2’s game still lacks today in terms of cleanliness and balancing of the experience, due to some very imprecise hitboxes and a not well balanced roster.

Steelrising is not the best soulslike on the market, but with its attractive design and many original ideas (unfortunately not all of them are implemented effectively) it turned out to be a fun and well-made game. Undoubtedly, the best title developed by Spiders.
