Along with a brand new engine (the first built specifically for next gen consoles), Project 8 looks great, presenting some beautiful neighbourhoods and characters.

Perhaps the coolest part of WarioWare is that it has lots of nods to Nintendo history. There are minigames based on classic Nintendo games, like The Legend of Zelda (touch the fairies to rescue them) and Metroid (pull alien critters off of Samus), and many more.

It does have some issues, like the damage modeling, that keep it from being the ultimate hardcore simulation, but as a challenging arcade game this one certainly deserves a test drive.

Doom may be looking a mite long in the tooth in terms of the larger world of first-person games, but for a GBA title it's one Hell of a ride.

Keith David provides the voice of the leader of the Saints, and that guy has such an awesome voice he could make reading off his grocery list sound cool.

The biggest drawback I found with the game in general was not being able to adequately distinguish other players from the background.

The Jedi Starfighter is quick, but only has lasers. But...you can use the Force against enemy ships. Without a doubt, this is the big draw, and it's way cool.

While some of the changes might be puzzling, they don't do any serious damage.

The pace seems faster than last year's version, which is definitely a good thing. Playing multiplayer is a lot more fun because of it.

Asheron’s Call is full of successes and problems and provides a game world that provides both excitement and frustration.

Despite the light hearted brushstrokes throughout Brave Fencer Musashi, this disc houses one of the richest and most satisfying videogames I've ever enjoyed.

Combining solid game play, stellar physics, and some of the most vibrant graphics available on the PC, Age of Empires III is the alpha male of the RTS pack.

This game is different, has a great style, and will give your brain a workout. If you like mystery novels or courtroom dramas, you gotta take this case.

Let’s trim it down to a single conclusion: if you like RPGs, get this game. Right now.

If you've got a top end PC I'd still say the PC version is the best choice, but the Xbox version is still well worth owning.

Puzzle games generally come in two flavors, crappy Tetris rip-offs and intelligent Tetris rip-offs. I'm happy to report that other than the fact that Wetrix has shapes that fall from the sky, the gameplay is completely and refreshingly original.

It definitely has a strong boardgame feel, although it's not as hands-on as the popular "crayola rail" games, nor as addictive as the recently released "Monopoly Tycoon."

Parasite Eve straddles a number of divides. It is and it is not a cinematic experience. It is and it is not anime. It is and it is not set in a fantastical world. The developers seemed to want to break out of the genre but to lack the courage to really take the last step.
