Amid the Ruins did do a nice job in setting up a finale.- Digitally Downloaded

The puzzles are a fun twist on the pre-existing formula, the temple backdrop is an interesting setting and the new monsters are a welcome challenge.- Digitally Downloaded

This is the kind of game you want to have on your iPad. It's perfect for sitting down at the pub with on a lazy afternoon and plowing through a few in-game months of strategy while chugging through a beer or ten. It gets even better if you can also jump online and patch strategic wits with another human armchair general.- Digitally Downloaded

In the end I came to the same conclusion now that I did back then: I had fun with the game itself, but it was the narrative that will no doubt be what sticks with me for some time.- Digitally Downloaded

Lacking the multiplayer makes it difficult to really get into Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival. What's in the game is perfectly functional and the core game is one of the most popular and lasting CCGs for a very good reason, it's difficult to really get into a game such as this that lacks the social experience.- Digitally Downloaded

Secret Files: Tunguska is entertaining stuff, and adventure game fans who have somehow not played this yet should have a look at it. By the same token, it's difficult to look at this game and argue that it's as timeless as Monkey Island. It's simply too limited.- Digitally Downloaded

Strike Force Foxx offers cheap and amusing shooting fun that is executed wonderfully. Additional polish would have propelled it further, but its flight plan is both safe and enjoyable as is. This is also one of the better Choplifter clones you’re going to find on a portable, so there’s that.- Digitally Downloaded

The developer is clearly committed to providing DLC that is cost effective and adds something meaningful to a group of its players - even if it's only a small niche within its overall player base. You're not going to miss out on anything if you don't buy this DLC pack. But then you might just get something out of the investment if you do.- Digitally Downloaded

Having played some incredible indie JRPGs already this year, Alpha Kimori takes the lead by perhaps being my number one. While part 1 may be a bit short, it more than makes up for it with its well written story and believable characters.- Digitally Downloaded

A wild success, building upon previous generic conventions to craft a highly satisfying experience. The elements of puzzle and platformer mesh so well that I have to wonder why other games aren't this good - X10 manages to make the impeccable mechanic and level design seem effortless.- Digitally Downloaded

Fearless Fantasy tried something different and it more than worked well. It's a great satire of the whole JRPG genre, while also managing to be a big creative and throw some of its own ideas into the ring.- Digitally Downloaded

There is a lot of thought that has been put into this game's survival modes, and people will enjoy that side of things. It's just a shame that thought couldn't be put into the rest of the game.- Digitally Downloaded

Magic 2015 is still the best way to bring a new player to this old game and the deck building is a great deal of fun, but those who have played the last couple of releases may feel somewhat underwhelmed by this iteration.- Digitally Downloaded

While this game might have the look and feel of a "family friendly" shooter, the reality is that the people playing it are of a standard to make it one for the shooter veterans who want a change of scenery from the brown wasteland battlegrounds.- Digitally Downloaded

Abyss Odyssey is a thematically deep game. On the surface it's a simple action platformer crossed with roguelike, but under that surface is a true rarity; a game made by South Americans that rejoices in South American mythology.- Digitally Downloaded

Guacamelee! is the incredible adventure, offering up thrilling events and plenty of combat in between its humour. DrinkBox have done an amazing job and the Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition for the PS4 is more than a worthwhile experience.- Digitally Downloaded

While Abyss Odyssey suffers from a few design choices that ultimately hold it back from greatness, its easily ACE Team’s most playable game to date, which doesn’t come at the sacrifice of the look and feel we’ve come to love with earlier titles.- Digitally Downloaded

The thing is, there's an enjoyable little game here. Strip the gimmicks, and you have a fun little paid title that could be beaten from start to finish in a few short hours. But instead, repetition drags down the lasting fun-factor and the comical satirical narrative of the game ends up self-refuting itself.- Digitally Downloaded

A puzzle game that will frustrate you with its inconsistencies. You will scream toward the vaulted ceiling after your little rescue bot perpetually explodes as though any pressure to his feet triggers his self-destruct sequence. But you will also rejoice every time you defeat a puzzle with your patience and brilliance, and that makes what frustrations there can be definitely worth the effort.- Digitally Downloaded

The visuals, while still appealing, act a bit unsteady at times and the episode could have been longer. Telltale is asking for a fair chunk of cash for an episode that is measurable more in minutes than hours. But the art style, excellent voice acting and interesting story do more than enough to make up for those other deficiencies as Telltale Games turns in its finest release yet.- Digitally Downloaded

The end product is a game that's a load of fun, but only for people with fond memories of running around in circles fighting wave after wave of random encounters. As equal parts homage and parody, Dragon Fantasy works.- Digitally Downloaded

So Child of Light is an inferior game on the PlayStation Vita, but only when compared to itself on the home consoles. The core game is as artful and superior as ever, and it's still better than 99 per cent of other games you can get on Sony's handheld.- Digitally Downloaded

If you happened to play Sniper Elite V2, you already have a good idea of how Sniper Elite III plays - but this latest iteration does everything a bit better. With less than a dozen maps, relatively lacklustre story and questionable enemy AI, Sniper Elite III is a flawed but enjoyable game nonetheless.- Digitally Downloaded

Xblaze didn't have the same emotional impact on me as games like Hakuōki have, and I wasn't as invested in the narrative as I was with Danganronpa, but anyone who has played a BlazBlue game knows that the writers behind the series are quality, and confident enough in their craft to put more energy into the plot than most fighting games get. As an extension of that confidence, Xblaze is a worthwhile experience indeed.- Digitally Downloaded

There's fun to be had in Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, but it's a dialed-in action shooter game, which is a mistake since there was never a chance that this game would compete with the big budget games in the genre, such as Destiny, Call of Duty, or Titanfall.- Digitally Downloaded

Qbeh-1: The Atlas Cube is an interesting block puzzle game which unfortunately feels like it's compacting a few similar ideas together which makes it feel unfocused at times. However it is generally a clever little game, with interesting puzzles, a beautiful art style, and soothing background music.- Digitally Downloaded

This won't be a game that will appeal to everyone and I have the feeling that it may well scare off (yep, pun intended) a fair few people with production values that are below standard, even by indie standards.- Digitally Downloaded
