games(TM)Aug 20, 2014Konami may have created the most robust digital version of its popular CCG yet, but it has married it to a distinct lack of gameplay modes and player interaction. [Sept 2014, p.123]
-
Jul 30, 2014Lacking the multiplayer makes it difficult to really get into Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival. What's in the game is perfectly functional and the core game is one of the most popular and lasting CCGs for a very good reason, it's difficult to really get into a game such as this that lacks the social experience.
-
Aug 11, 2014Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival is an interesting duelling card game on the 3DS but lacks any real replay value, especially with no 2-player support
-
Jul 21, 2014Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal: World Duel Carnival is kind of a mess. Besides being quite noob friendly, it fails on almost any other level with a lazy story mode, no multiplayer features and an outdated pool of cards. Fans be aware: even you may not like this.
-
Aug 6, 2014No multiplayer mode, a confused plot and messy UI. Let's put aside this episode and wait for something more compelling on the 3DS.
-
Jul 24, 2014Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival appears as a mutilated effort which lost a lot of its content on the journey from Japan to the Western markets. The lack of a multiplayer of any kind and its short lifespan, as well as an overall sub par visual outlook, mean that only the most dedicated fans of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series will find reasons to appreciate this game, as it still manages to keep the spirit of the series intact.
-
Aug 4, 2014If you’re considering this game, stay away. There are better Yu-Gi-Oh! games out there, and there are better digital card games out there. The only reason I can think of to buy this - and there’s no hyperbole here - is for the three exclusive physical cards it comes with.
