   This game is somewhat different from the other Yu Gi Oh games they made before. I give it a 10 because it underrated, and here is a through explanation of what this game did well and not so well.
   
   Pros: Much better UI, lot of new cards, AI response time is much faster, lot of different characters with decks you play therefore lot of strategies you can use, and learn a lot about the card game in general.
   
   Neutral: 1. It had no 3D graphics, I think it a good thing since they always made poor 3D models in the game, might as well get rid of it all together.
   2. You are given a lot of cards when you start the game, that kind of get rid of the fun of collecting cards but it also remove the annoyance of buying hundreds of packs to get that 1 card.
   
   Bad: 1. It had less story line than other Yu Gi Oh games. The previous didn't have a big focus on story but this one had even less.
   2. As the Yu Gi Oh franchise is making more lighthearted games and anime, story is less serious than said compare to the past Yu Gi Oh generations. Clearly aimed only on little kids, but funny thing is the game can have a lot of depth.
   3. Little way to customize you own character or have any mini games or game play. Game is still heavily about dueling, there isn't much else to the game. Take for example, Pokemon had implanted a lot character customization and mini games for the Pokemon, but this game had no such side activities.
   
   Conclusion: The game aspect on dueling, and the way it present the dueling mechanic had improved a lot. However, the story element is more lackluster and less focused on compare to previous tittles. Also those mini games that make games whole are clearly missing.
   
   Suggestions: Use some time to make a better story line, add mini games, and continue the good work on the dueling interface.
   
   For 20 dollars this game is still worth it if you are a Yu Gi Oh fan or a newcomer. This game is clearly underrated and should deserve better. I said it deserve a 8.3 or 8.5 and definitely not 5.6 for the fact it half the price of a regular 3DS game and just had a better dueling feel to it compare to the old ones.… Expand

So I recommend you to buy this game in 25 sept. As for me I own Japanese version so I am going to buy us version as well, because this game is amazing.… Expand

In this game Konami tries something new by giving you character card pools.
   
   You make decks with each story character with their own specific pool of fun and interesting cards to experiment with. And you can also freely duel with all of the cards unlocked from the start if you want to as well, and with over 300 deck slots that is really fun. Even the most modern yugioh game has less than 40 deck slots which I really hate since i love to experiment and make a lot of decks.… Expand

   Though this is not the worst Yu-Gi-Oh game I have played it is by far not the best. After playing for awhile I found myself wishing I had spent my $20 on something else. This game might have been great as a $10 game but as it stands I would spend my money on something else. with the lack of anything to do other than play against the A.I or play through various character's story this game just isn't worth the money. The only reason I give it the score I gave is because I truly love the story for your character and the fact that you start with all the cards. Those two things alone are why it didn't get a 3 or 4 out of 10.… Expand

   I have looked forward to the american release of this game since I stumbled upon in early 2014 and after purchasing the game I found that someI have looked forward to the american release of this game since I stumbled upon in early 2014 and after purchasing the game I found that some of the features I was looking forward to were not present. The individual story mode play through's are vary similar and don't feel like your progressing, unlike the classic "follow the main character" stories that have been the staple up to now. I also miss having to purchase cards and as a result playing the game lacks a feeling of progression. I mean sure you unlock a new character every so often but other than offering a new deck to play story mode with it doesn't do much else.
   
   On the positive side the deck builder has been upgraded to include a word search option which I have been waiting for since I first picked up "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX: Aim to be Duel King!" in 2005 and god has it helped with building theme decks or finding fusion monsters for deck building. and the option to turn the ban list off was nice you can build decks that are just fun to play.
   
   Alas though it is imposable to show your friends your awesome decks in multi player mode because the multi player mode doesn't exist... I had several friends waiting with me to buy this game so we could all play together and i am the only one who ended up purchasing it because of this massive drawback. What was Konami thinking when they said "lets take out multi player in a TRADING CARD GAME" I realise that the American release had all the cards unlocked from the start and trading really wasn't an issue but playing endlessly against NPC's for no other purpose then to see if you deck works and then finally finishing it to realise "What now"? I've finished this deck who do I use it against? at least with the DP system playing endlessly against NPC's meant you could buy and unlock more cards to use so it didn't feel like a colossal waist of time.
   
   The only other thing i can say is it is useful to build a deck here, try it out and then buy the cards for it online so you can play for real. Maybe that was the plan all along....… Expand

   Normally I love yu-gi-oh games, you go into the story with a starter deck and then go buy packs in order to evolve along with it as youNormally I love yu-gi-oh games, you go into the story with a starter deck and then go buy packs in order to evolve along with it as you experience with new cards to use. I like the fact you have already all of the cards to choose for your deck, but I just don't know what's good to start with. you do have starter decks but no packs to buy to go like, oh this new card helps out. But there is so many choices. That this game gets 50/100 rating for being good for having so much options but also low rating because it's just too much to do at the beginning.… Expand
