We’re still not sure of God’s Favorite Idiot will right itself or just become a train wreck. The second episode definitely gave us signs that it will try to make McCarthy’s character more than an ad-lib machine.

Stream it, if only for the presence of Ford and Mirren, and the fact that we know that Sheridan’s shows get better as they go along. But the first episode of 1923 does not do the presence of its stars justice, has disjointed stories and a glacial pace.

We’re just not sure where the show is going to land on the tonal line. Takei and Munn’s characters could go either way. And, given that we don’t know a ton about Bryce, we may learn things about him that bring out Sudeikis’ considerable dramatic acting ability. We don’t need Hit-Monkey to be all serious or all funny. But it’s really hard to get a handle on what it wants to be, much less where it’s headed.

We like Tucker and Steele’s chemistry and there’s potential for the stories of the week to strongly support the greater mystery as the season goes forward. But it could also collapse under its own weight. At this point, we’re just not sure which way it’ll go.

Coleman delivers her lines in such a stiff manner, you wonder if Jolie is really upset or just annoyed. In general, though, the show is inoffensive fare that you can watch with your teens and tweens.

If the cases of the week get a little better, and the backstories of the regular characters — especially the biggest one — are written well, Found has the potential to be an above average network procedural.

There’s something about Clickbait that seems a bit off, whether it’s the flat plot or the concentration on characters that are less than interesting. But Kazan puts in a magnetic performance, and that may be more than enough to keep viewers watching through a mystery that stumbles out of the gate, weighed down by technological nonsense.

For them [fans], it’s a definite STREAM IT. But for the less invested, the show’s obsessions with sex and swearing might feel one-dimensional.

There’s enough to like about La Brea that will keep viewers watching, despite the show’s more silly and cheesy elements, especially the mystery of where the “lost” Angelenos are and why they’re there.

We’re really just recommending Sexy Beasts for Rob Delaney’s narration. The rest of the show is just weird at times, creepy at others.

If you’re not a big Brady fan or a Patriots fan, then the three hours will feel like a slog. But if you’re a fan, then I don’t need to tell you to STREAM IT.

Only because of Osment’s lead performance and the hope that the characters in Pretty Smart will have their extreme quirks edged off a bit as the group and Chelsea start to bond.

Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance Of Sherri Papini is informative enough that we would give it a STREAM IT to people who know nothing about the Papini case. But for those who are familiar with the case, the way the show manipulates the sequence of events leads us to say SKIP IT.

Its formula is tried and true — but has also grown stale. Hardcore fans of Stranger Things will likely find nothing wrong with the new season, as is their wont. They’ll love the nods to Barb (Shannon Purser) and character reunions. They’ll obsess over potential love triangles and thrill over creepy new flourishes. I personally wish the show had reined it in a bit, focused on the core cast over the newbs, and tried something truly creative with its storytelling instead of just nostalgia baiting.

STREAM IT If you grew up watching iCarly and are happy to see most of the old gang again. SKIP IT if you’re expecting the grown-up Carly and her friends to give you a more grown-up sitcom.

Edie Falco is one of those actors we’ll watch in anything. And Tommy certainly is anything.

Marginally recommended, based on the fact that Drescher, Weber, Pally and Elliott are an extremely talented and funny cast, and there’s hope that the writing will improve to accommodate their talents.

We have no confidence that this mix-and-match episode format is anything more than a gimmick and will just lead to confused viewers.

The photography is not only beautiful, really giving viewers the beauty and scope of the locations where these teams are competing. ... It’s kind of too bad, though, that the contestants seem to be a generic mix of weekend warriors, most of whom have shockingly the same skin color. ... It doesn’t help that the rules are cumbersome as hell.

We’re going to give Mammals a chance because it not only will likely get even darker after its dark first episode, but it’ll give Corden a chance to show people what kind of work he’ll do once he goes back to acting full-time.

The Runarounds isn’t for everyone, and while some viewers may be put off by the teenage drama and moments of cringiness, plenty of others will happily embrace this nostalgic and simple story with open arms.

STREAM IT, if you’re a fan of sci fi, an Asimov fan or someone who caught the first two seasons of Foundation and want to see how the story proceeds. But, like we said in Season 1, casual sci fi watchers are not this show’s target demo. We suggest they SKIP IT.

STREAM IT if you like FBI or are a big Tom Ellis fan; CIA should scratch the itch of both sets of viewers. If you’re looking for an interesting procedural, SKIP IT.

Despite Kidman’s and Grant’s performances, we couldn’t muster up enough energy to care about anyone in The Undoing, at least not enough to spend six hours unraveling its central mystery. It’s certainly watchable, but having this show come so soon after BLL makes it feel like we’ve seen it all before.

It gives no personal insight into Mark Wahlberg’s life, and it’s not like he’s the most dynamic camera presence when he’s just being himself. That said, there is a part of us that’s itching to see how someone who was riding high — and already stretched super thin — deals with the massive ramifications of a worldwide pandemic, one that affected every business he invested his time and money in.

It’s one of those shows that has us hovering towards the “meh” end of the review spectrum. There was nothing inherently wrong with the first episode, but nothing really drew us in, either.

The great cast of Suspect saves the show from being a leaden disaster, but the story underpinning all that capital-A acting isn’t all that interesting.

STREAM IT, but we’re not sure if our recommendation is going to stay that way after the first episode. As the story of Paul T. Goldman gets more outrageous, the less funny we think this meta-meta series is going to be.
