It really does a fantastic job at letting you in on the Vietnam era, and I’m sure that after a few patches it will be even better.

Though it may be very frustrating at times, games shouldn’t be easy to complete. Watch out for the controls if you play it on the PC, they change along with the camera angles.

Dead Island is absolutely a fun and very playable game and worth the money, even if it lacks the incredible detail and more serious challenge of Dead Rising 2. Dead Island may lack new ideas, but it makes up for it with simple playability, and often that's all anyone wants in a game.

The intensity is there right at the beginning.

The weapons look and act real, the grenades and Molotov cocktails look and behave similar real ones, and the environment responds to the weapons.

Online drift mode is very popular, and if you happen to find someone in there with the name RedStarAcura behind an Impreza, he will not back down to any challenge!

While at times you may find the game a little slow paced and the controls and gameplay frustrating, those who stick with the game to the end will come out pleased.

The wit present in this game is second to none and I honestly think this is what would have happened had Mel Brooks gotten into game making.

A fine and very playable horror game, and while the relatively linear story line and straightforwardness of the battles don’t combine to offer much replay value, it’s still worth the price of admission.

The environments are beautiful, sound is quality, and community is strongly encouraged. You do not have to be running this game all the time to be enjoying it.

On the other hand, there is no harm in spending at least a month or two in the world of Tabula Rasa because this game will likely influence others for years to come.

What the game does – a single-player campaign – it does very well, and if you enjoyed the rich scenarios of previous games in the series you probably own this game already. If you don't, and if you're looking for an entry point into the phenomenon, this is as stellar a place to start as any.
