It was sad to have such a shallow and uninspiring storyline to keep you going until the very end, but with the game’s stunning visuals and effects, arcade pick up and play gameplay, online multiplayer and co-op features there is plenty here to satisfy your appetite in being the next Maverick or Ice Man.

There’s just something about this title that makes me want to go and play it again and again. Maybe it’s the superb weapon selection, the humorous story and characters, or the intuitive game play elements; I can’t quite put my finger on it. Whatever it is, Ratchet & Clank is a great 3D platform title, with plenty to do for all ages.

Overall, Tomb Raider: Anniversary features an age old style of gameplay that is beginning to struggle against the test of time.

Overall Proving Ground has enough content and challenges to keep any Tony Hawk enthusiast busy, with an impressive online mode, and plenty of ways to complete the game, but for others it may just come across as the same tired game in another guise.

The game doesn’t feel like it was made for the Nintendo Wii as at no point in the game do players require to point the Wii Remote towards the sensor bar.

Everyday Shooter is a game that gets better the more you learn about how to play it.

It may not be as long as some games, or contain as many games as other compilations but it's the best deal with a load of quality games all stuck into one fantastic box.

Unfortunately the game does itself damage by having very little depth and running out of new tracks long before you have even considered being satisfied.

A very decent football simulation, mixing both stunning graphics with some well-thought gameplay.

Overall this is a great little package, even though it is one that feels like it won't be truly perfected until next year.

One shock was that the awesome 24/7 mode has been axed, in favour of the dubiously named Blacktop Mode. This is essentially a pick up and play selection of game types, designed for those that don’t understand basketball that well.

It’s fair to say that the game is a solid game of basketball that I’d recommend to basketball fans and those who are interested in getting into the game—so long as your expectations are a bit tempered.

What it lacks in features, it makes up for in gameplay and presentation.

Whereas the other versions of this game offered much improved graphics over last year’s game, the Wii doesn’t really bring very much to the table.

The graphics and sound are fantastic, the story and gameplay are brilliant and the multiplayer aspects are just amazing. The additon of Forge and co-op gives the game a much longer life span than many other games. You couldn't find a better game for any console.

This approach to skating is a real breath of fresh air, when compared to the over-iterated world of the Tony Hawk franchise.

There are some fun power ups.

Overall this game will provide a repetitive and dull experience for the majority of players but like always fans of the genre will still find much enjoyment beyond the glaring flaws.

A unique concept, stunning graphics, inspiring audio and enjoyable gameplay comes together to create a fantastic RPG experience that rivals close competition.

Whilst the game is not revolutionary in storyline progression and the issues with online play leave more to be desired, the game does provide a fantastic single console experience that is long lasting, unique and most importantly a thrill to play.

If you are a hockey fan then you need this game. It’s as simple as that.

Best of the 2D Sonic games.

This is the worst 360 game I have played yet. The graphics aren’t bad but a dodgy frame rate along with terrible level design, handling and collisions makes Fatal Inertia barely playable.

In short—this is the best hockey game yet by a long shot.

NHL 2K8 is a very entertaining game, but the control system is a shambles.
