Like watching skate videos themselves, Project 8 simply loses its charm after a while. Realistic graphics and Nail the Trick aside, Project 8 comes off as a title that’s so rooted in its own genre that true innovation may prove unlikely.

Given the tremendous variety of downloadable tracks available for free, courtesy of both the players and RedLynx itself, charging five dollars for a smattering of content without some serious sort of hook seems almost disingenuous.

Should be seen as the greatest game in a long line of excellent golf titles. This game is the culmination of six years of genre dominance. The new team game modes are fresh and fun, while the structure of the Team Tour is a perfect blend of team management and in-game strategy.

Ultimate decision time. Madden NFL 15 could be skipped, but you’d really dislike yourself if you missed out on all the good this year’s installment brings. So stop debating, stop delaying, stop procrastinating and get your copy--you’ll be glad you did. See you on the field!

New gameplay focused on "adventures," simple puzzle-solving, and vacationing, along with a decent amount of new content, make for a fun and enjoyable Sims experience, despite some technical bugs.

You'll need a fairly souped up machine and graphics card to get the most out of Painkiller but if you have yearned for the return of games like "Serious Sam," "Doom" and the original "Quake" your next stop is Purgatory. Tell 'em I sent you.

2K6 is as strong as it ever was and while it might take vets awhile to get a grasp on the ProControl and other injections, it's still incredibly solid and has lost nothing from last years game.

If you're the kind of player that likes to spend only a few hours a week playing one particular game, Growlanser Generations could last you a year. It's a big package, well worth the price.

Volition tries and fails to re-create GTA’s sense of style, but their attempts at humor, from the naming of the businesses to the radio commercials, just comes off as even more derivative and less-inspired than its current gen doppelganger.

Overall the game is a blast, but the difference between the sequel and the original is purely cosmetic.

For its merit, it has that simple, pure, fun factor that keeps me coming back, even after memorizing every nuance of each board. Yet with a sparse selection of maps, a single match type for each mode, and what feels like a dousing of turpentine on character customization and choice, in the end Splatoon feels like purchasing an expensive gallon of paint, only to crack open the lid and find just a quart of paint within.

I did have a working knowledge from having played the original, but I needed more than just a refresher. Fans of the series are definitely going to get more than they bargained for with this expansion pack.

A phenomenal game. The episodes truly do feel like they are getting better and better with each passing one.

It's technically impressive but more than anything it's a lot of fun.

Phantom Brave is a game of methodical persistence. There's very little here to reward smart players.

In a nutshell, LEGO Star Wars II is action, adventure, collecting, puzzles, races, mini-game, Co-op mode and your favorite Star Wars characters all having a great time.

Unite is an excellent game for those that haven't played Freedom 2. Otherwise, it's just a fun and addictive addition to an otherwise excellent game that already exists.

With the Signature Style re-creating players’ styles on the game, the immersive Association mode, and the nearly impeccable online play, NBA 2K7 is the sports title to get this basketball season.

This game is little more than a lowbrow, yet humorous, thug-life simulator.

That being said, the new multiplayer modes and gameplay are phenomenal and the subtle refinements to the title do make Rainbow Six Vegas 2 superior to its predecessor.

Voices have always stood out in all the versions of Mortal Kombat. This game may have some of the best voices yet!

Frontline isn't quite as action intensive as "TimeSplitters 2," but it's head and shoulders above "Turok Evolution."

Like a good novel, each case is deep and filled with plot twists. If you loved the Phoenix Wright games of the past, you'll feel right at home.

I just wish that it looked a little nicer, and there was more depth of gameplay added to the Campus Legend mode.

It’s almost comparable to the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games, only with a new set of contemporary trends and a much larger budget. It’s janky, some of the set pieces are clumsy, and the storytelling is more of a miss than a hit. Still, the intergalactic exploration is seasoned with Metroidvania-lite gatekeeping and combat systems that successfully blend Star Wars flash with Soulslike danger and make the magic happen. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has the spunk of a PS2 game, the game design of a PS3 game, and the scale of a PS4 game. That’s a win in my book.
