The real winner in this whole package is easily the Conquest Mode, which comes out of nowhere to seamless blend strategy into a sports title with undeniable results. There is plenty more here to love than to hate, and for many of us, that’s enough.

It’s a fun shooter, if all too formulaic.

It's not perfect, but it's chockfilled with entertaining gameplay modes. If FIFA 06 is fine cuisine, FIFA Street 2 is a corndog and a coke and sometimes, there ain't nothing better than that.

I recommend those who've played the game before to just stick to the PS2 version and enjoy it as it was originally made. The Wii version doesn't have anything new to offer, and the control issues detract from a perfect experience.

NHL 07 for the PSP is a slightly watered down version of its bigger sibling’s hockey game but that’s only to be expected due to its limited processing power. But what the PSP manages to capture is the fun and ultimate playability of the next-gen console version.

We can't say it will bowl over modern gamers who've seen better entries in the genre, but it represents an important moment in video game history, and for that reason it's worth a download, at least of the demo.

Even though this game utterly fails at attempting to appeal to most gamers, Roogoo is still one of the best puzzle games that I've played in a long time.

Bionic Commando is an interesting single-player experience many gamers are likely to enjoy. Disappointingly, the multiplayer experience is entirely forgettable, and not all of the wonderfully tacky elements of the series were well translated this time around.

If you like action RPGs, KingsRoad is a must-play.

Perhaps the biggest perk to the Wii U version of Ninja Gaiden 3 is the addition of Dead or Alive's Ayane. In the last few NG titles, Ayane made a couple of cameo appearances, but on the Wii U, players can take control of the Dead or Alive mistress in her very own mini-campaign.

With such a variety of things to do in Metal Saga, it's definitely worth a rental. You can spend as much time with it as you like. You can't say that about other RPGs.

Whether you're young or old, the LEGO characters and cute vibe will likely appeal to your sensibilities. All in all, LEGO Rock Band is a quality game that will get the whole family jamming together.

The game makes for a great pick-up-and-play multiplayer experience. Though there's no real reason to play more than once if you are going solo, playing with friends over and over is where the real replay value lies.

A very solid title. Needed improvements belong to the "more features" side rather than the "fix this" side. Four-player capability and more moves would go a long way.

While it isn't a next-generation title, the game will provide all the exciting gameplay, depth of strategy, and replay value that gamers expect in today's multiplayer-only titles.

Quantum of Solace won't be up for any "game of the year" awards, but it is a solid title that offers a satisfying, though elementary, single-player campaign and a strong, but perhaps niche, multiplayer experience. It's not a total return to form for the Bond franchise, but it seems to be headed in the right direction.

The story holds together fine, but poor dialogue and structure make it almost impossible to care about Nostalgia's characters. The gameplay - though completely old-school - is polished and very well balanced.

No challenge, but weirdly addicting, with lots of secrets to come back for.

When Head Coach hits, it slams it out of the ballpark. Excellent structure and balance in the practice periods before game day ensure that you take your time and prepare extensively, while tasks at the front office put you in control of every aspect of the franchise.

With so many tasks to complete in Story Mode and things to do while free roaming in Barnett College, the game has plenty of replay value.

A ton of options, but very few improvements.

It's really difficult to connect with a song first time through if you're not familiar with it even though you're reading the arrows correctly. You may have to listen to the track a number of times to get the feeling down.

Solid execution of motion controls makes this a delight to play. Your only objection will come from your own exhaustion of wizardry.

Shin Megami Tensei IV is the kind of game that has some people doing their happy dance and others running for the hills. If you're looking for hard-won victories, an impressive collection of demons, and some genuine Crazy Japanese Stuff (I say that with all affection) to be had from the story, then congratulations. This game is for you, and like me, you'll get a kick out of it. If you're more interested in heartwarming stories, relatable characters, or relaxation from your RPGs, I recommend checking out the Persona 3 and 4 instead.

The game looks good with its neon-coated retro visuals, plays well once you get the hang of it, and has a virtually never-ending amount of content thanks to its level editor. Just be sure you don't go into it expecting a fast-paced, shooting-focused experience.

There are other, deeper, and ultimately more satisfying racing games out there. But for a pure, pick-up-and-play sense of speed and fun, Pure is hard to beat.

Unfortunately, the multiplayer maps are pretty disappointing. But the zombie mission is great.

If you were hoping for groundbreaking changes to the horror survival formula and pristine technical accomplishments, you will be disappointed. Nevertheless, for a bargain retail price, and as a launch title for subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass, it’s definitely worth of a look while keeping some change in your pocket.

At the end of the day, vehicular combat is fun. Unlike all the kart racing games we have played over the years, Twisted Metal is just about blowing your opponents up, and that's simply an enjoyable pastime.

This game suffers from being a little too shallow, and after playing the same tracks over and over, it's a little too easy to tire of the game after the main story mode has been completed. Still, I would hope that there will be a sequel to this title, as the premise is solid. The execution just needs a little fleshing out.

You're either going to love it or not. With the right people online, there isn't anything on XBL that plays quite like it and you're sure to have a blast with likeminded players. Those who are content with "G.R.A.W." and prefer that style of gameplay most likely won't get the appeal of The Outfit.

Battle Fantasia grabs hold of a player, there's no telling how many hours of enjoyment it's good for.

A very impressive game. Though it is not punishing in difficulty or complex in story, the gameplay is fun, and collecting all of the game's Spectrobes makes for some decent replay value. This game is an easy recommendation for new RPG gamers, or RPG fans who don't take themselves too seriously.

It's a shame that the controls weren't tighter and the level design weren't more varied, because this one could have been a classic. As it stands now, it's a title easily worth picking up for shooter fans tired of being stuck with R-Type.

Urban Chaos is definitely worth a rental. If you're good, there's no reason that you can't complete it in a weekend. Castle Crashers is a great title for those who are looking for a quick romp through a magical world full of off-color humor. The controls are straightforward, the simple cartoon visuals are great, the music is perfect, and the combat is fun.

Though the mission variety is decent, you're still essentially doing one of two things: dogfights or racing. That being said, it's a great package that offers real value when played with friends.

The game is not a failure by any means, but you will find yourself asking for more or wanting to play other more fleshed out fighting games. The visuals were also a big letdown, especially the backgrounds, mainly because we've been spoiled by other visually appealing fighting games.

Even with its heavy puzzle element, Destination: Treasure Island is a grand adventure. If players don't get snagged up on the rocks of a few of the tougher puzzles, they should be able to make it through the game in several sittings; once you get hooked you'll hardly want to break for the bathroom.

The stiff challenge of the single-player campaign and the quality, if not perfect, multiplayer component will keep skilled, patient gamers playing for hours. Unfortunately, this experience simply isn't tailored for home consoles.

A solid add-on expansion that offers a more puzzle-oriented twist on the series' interesting blend of gameplay and extends the adventure by a few hours. It's a decent way to wrap up the Penumbra series.

It's still fun, the characters are still bursting with personality, and despite my misgivings about the style, the story is still memorable. It's not a complete departure for the series, but the move away from classic characters may be indicative of the series as a whole turning away from its roots. And that may be something to worry about when we finally get around to talking about SoulCalibur VI.

For puzzle fans, this is definitely an experience worth having. The puzzle modes have 32 to 44 levels each, many of them quite difficult, and "Guide" mode in particular is a whole lot of fun. However, there's no point in beating the same level twice, and the "Create" and "Compose" modes aren't captivating enough to add much replayability, so this is a game to rent, not buy.

If you're a fan of the Dynasty Warriors gameplay and the lore of The Legend of Zelda series, you will absolutely fall in love with Hyrule Warriors and enjoy the extensive list of replayable modes. For those of you who feel this is a taint on the Zelda brand, I can assure you that nothing but care and dedication has been given to the mythos of the franchise. That said, the gameplay itself can become quickly repetitive without a difficulty challenge besides beating the enemy to the punch.

In the end, Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 2 is another “of course” purchase. If you liked Episode 1, picking this episode up will be a no brainer, and frankly the game is only getting better. If you didn’t, Episode 2 isn’t going to turn heads and convert naysayers. It’s just more of the same with a welcome tweak to difficulty, and honestly, that’ s exactly what I wanted.

While The Iron Triangle may not seem like it’s for everyone, with a little bit of patience and trial and error, even an action hero could rule the world.

Attack of the Saiyans is not necessarily just for hardcore DBZ fans. If you're into Japanese RPGs, and if you don't mind a slow, tedious beginning (and seriously, the first ninety minutes are very weak), then Attack of the Saiyans can be an extremely charming, loud, and violent fairy tale.

The story is pretty linear, but if you have a buddy with the game, you can play special co-op missions using the game's Tower mode.

The After Years is an unusual experiment for the Final Fantasy franchise, but it’s one that’s already working its powerful magic on us. The story is smartly structured to tease you along, intermittently revealing important and interesting tidbits, before leaving you hanging.

With a huge map to roam and numerous tasks to achieve, The Spiderwick Chronicles is definitely a game that takes patience.

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground for the Wii is a good game with classic gameplay and creative controls. The graphics fall short and there is no online component, but it is a very entertaining title on the whole.

I'm obviously not the target audience for Kinect Rush, and I'm sure that many of my control problems stem from that fact. Still, when I was done playing, I walked away from the game with a huge smile on my face. No matter what which way you look at it, Kinect Rush is a fun game, and it would make an amazing birthday present for a child.

Overall Super Dragon Ball Z would be [better] described as "slightly different" than "new and improved."

The best thing this game has going for it is its fun factor. It his all the JRPG notes that a good JRPG should, and if you ignore the rest of its downfalls, you will really enjoy it.
