As difficult and repetitious as Lovely Planet gets however, rarely is it frustrating. It’s hard to hold a grudge against a game so whimsical, especially when it delivers even the most nefarious of its tricks with such stone-faced innocence.

This game is fun. It’s a great way to while away the commute to work, kill a few minutes waiting for tardy friends or lose yourself in after a long day at work.

Ascendant is a decent brawler and you will have fun watching the amazing artwork of your character slicing his way through a marauding horde of enemies. The game is not for the faint-hearted though, as death is final and a lot of people will (like me) get annoyed far too easily due to this.

A pretty good game. It lacks any brilliant originality or unique spark to make it truly stand out from the crowd. When it’s not hampered by technical issues (it frequently crashed on me) and long loading screens, the game itself is quite fun, especially to play with friends. For the most part NS2 plays well and, while it doesn’t reinvent the wheel in any aspect, you could do a lot worse.

For the price of £15 you get a game that rewards you with story and atmosphere, albeit a slight lacklustre combat experience and a game that is in need of updates adding more enemies and areas. Is it worth looking at this game? For certain. For me at least there are a number of unanswered questions that I need to resolve.

While the multiplayer will still be the main focus for many players of Advanced Warfare, the campaign gameplay is solid. Despite its short length (6ish hours). You may never play the campaign again, but you probably won’t forget it either.

It’s a shame then that a game which is so well designed is hit by a pretty massive flaw, which is its length.

A.R.E.S. is a game with crisp graphics and an awesome soundtrack that makes for a great title to pick up if you’re just after something a little more casual but with enough of that arcade difficulty to keep you on your toes.

Depending on your choices Hatoful Boyfriend can be a light-hearted dating sim set in a completely ridiculous setting, or a crazy ridiculous visual novel set in a ridiculous setting.

Were it not quite so repetitive I’d have liked this game a bit more and maybe scored it a bit higher.

There’s a lot about NHL 15 to be happy about, especially when it comes to actual game time. However, NHL 15 is not a finished product and as such this review score reflects that.

Audio Defence – Zombie Arena is a very clever game that delivers on an interesting idea. It gives you a taste of the terrifying experience of being blind throughout the zombie apocalypse.

Switch Galaxy Ultra is a fun game to play in small bursts. When you are whizzing through the tracks at great speed it is exhilarating. However, it loses its focus when it adds gameplay barriers that detract from the quick paced nature of the game.

Among the Sleep is a great addition to the horror genre, and their choice of a toddler for the main character is both inspired and well executed. With a little more polish, a better Oculus Rift kit, and the clearing out of the remaining bugs, it would be near perfect.

Despite its bugs and AI issues, Lifeline is a welcome addition to State of Decay. It builds on the canon already created and adds some very good features which would be amazing in the main game (hint hint). And whilst rather short, there is definite replayability to Lifeline as you never how things are going to turn out.

It has all the makings of a solid game, yet is let down by some minor problems but I still feel that Lucid Games should be given a pat on the back for driving Geometry Wars into new territory.

Graphics and ending aside Heroes of the Revolution a good game and one of the best turn based strategy games that you’ll find on iOS devices. For less than two pounds you’re getting a 4 – 6 hour campaign that once done can be played again due to the random mini missions.

So, is NASCAR ’14 the elusive stock car game experience I have been looking for? The short answer is yes. The game recreates the whole atmosphere of NASCAR very well. The career mode is one of the most in-depth career experiences I have seen in a racing game for a long time and the tweaks the AI make your simulated career as tense and exciting as the real thing.

The core of Nether – what it IS – hasn’t changed. It’s a game that requires your tender, loving care. It’s a seed; a seed with the potential to bloom into something beautiful and magnificent if you’re willing to get the right tools and put in all that work.

A great puzzler with an added extra benefit – which I liked. If a particular level has you stuck then the games option to skip will be your saving grace. Which was a relief as a certain level was beginning to grind my gears.

Silence of the Sheep is a great example of why there’s still life in 2D games. This game is a scary game that has some truly terrifying moments, stunning artwork and brilliant audio. However it is let down with some controls flaws such as the poorly implemented inventory, and some frustrating puzzles that will have you googling their solution.

Given that this game costs about the same as a can of juice and a chocolate bar, but will keep you entertained for way longer than either, I’d say your money was definitely better spent on Helix than on Mars.
