If you really are into 2D platformers, then it’s a great game and you should definitely pick it up. But if you’re just looking for something to play at a good price, there’s many better options out there that will probably offer you something a bit more original. Solid game overall.

Overall, Rakoo & Friends is game full of vibrant colour, cute characters and nice animations, but unfortunately the gameplay is a bit repetitive and boring after a while.

All of the great things about the game, the music, the cutesy indie art design, the concept, and the humor…all overshadowed by a difficulty curve so steep that Lance Armstrong couldn’t bike up it if he was in his blood-doping addled prime.

The combat is average at best (and downright poor at worst), while the less said about the platforming sections the better. Nothing here is broken, (a case of damning with faint praise if ever there was one), but honestly, the sense of disappointment is often palpable given the overriding sense of this being a horribly missed opportunity.

A fantastic narrative experience condensed within an hour. The story tackles adulthood, disability, family obligation and depression and crafts them into a real, believable experience. Good luck driving home.

If there’s one thing I love more than an indie game it’s an indie game with depth and boy-oh-boy does Secret Ponchos have a truck-load of that.

Balancing ranged and melee combat is essential to survival in One More Dungeon, but you will also find yourself having to stave off boredom at times.

Corpse Party: Blood Drive definitely feels more like a survival horror RPG than the first one. Its twisted story and death scenes are something you either love or hate. I found myself enjoying the game right until the end I do not want to ruin the end but it didn’t really deliver all the promise it had. Still this may be the end of the Heavenly host series I am sure Dead patient will at some point refer back to the characters in this one and maybe the questions I still have at the end of the game will be answered in that.

The gameplay is addictive and incredibly well done but beware a lot of things can kill you, your own grenades and defective turrets, team members shooting you in the back on purpose or by mistake, even while waiting for the extract shuttle it landed on me leaving me as a red smear across the planet.

After a really strong start of fantastic gameplay and impressive environments the game falls into a pit of frustration and monotony that it never quite returns from.

The game for what it is a very charming and entertaining trip if you’re willing to go through some repetitive gameplay.

After a couple of hours creeping through the darkness looking for the my hundredth battery, and getting stuck to a desk and inexplicably paralysed just as the all-powerful red floating ball of death silently rounded the corner… I suddenly realised – this is crap.

Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends is a lot better than I expected it to be, but it still doesn’t offer quite as much depth or polish as Smash Brothers.

STARWHAL is a weird, quirky and vibrant game that looks great. Its fun to play with friends in short sessions, but unfortunately the gameplay quickly feels a bit hollow.

Whilst Cube Creator 3D isn’t exactly a terrible game, serving its purpose as a 3DS sandbox builder well, I just can’t recommend the game due to how limited it is. If, in the future, an update added more building materials then I would be able to recommend it, but in its current state then I’d warn against buying the game.

As a game, Zoombinis really doesn’t do enough to keep you interested. The puzzles can be challenging on the harder difficulties, but it’s really not an experience that you can get invested in.

You’ve played this game a thousand times before. It’s a run-and-gun platformer with pixel graphics and plinky-plonk music. But this is one of the purest, most addicting forms of that genre. It’s the best parts of Megaman and Contra distilled through the brain of a man who only wants to bring you joy, to make you feel that sepia-toned happiness you thought had ceased to exist. There’s a part of your heart that’s become calloused throughout the years, let Kero Blaster make it feel fresh again.

Dragon Fin Soup isn’t very good. If time was left to polish and optimize the game for each platform then it would have been actually decent, although more than a polish will be needed to fix the interface.

It’s still an extremely worthwhile game though and provides an entertaining, if harrowing, experience. But those damn PDA entries remain incredibly irritating to the extent that STASIS remains only ‘very good’ rather than excellent.

An open mind and a willingness to try something new is inevitably required, but for the relatively niche friendly Vita audience, this unique and consistently compelling experience shouldn’t prove a jump too far.

Although its characters aren’t as compelling as Jim Raynor or Tricia Helfer’s Queen of Blades, the story is no less incredible and the gameplay is as fun and rewarding as ever. Legacy of the Void is a fitting end to the Starcraft II trilogy and proves that splitting it into three games was definitely the correct decision.

I would highly recommend Knight Squad, it’s one of the best local-multiplayer games I’ve played in a long time and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and complexity provided by the different game styles.

Ultimately, Broforce is a statement that games don’t have to be ultra-complicated or have award-winning stories in order to be enjoyed. They just have to be games.

The finale is not perfect. The same old combat mechanics favoured by TellTale Games are still there with no variation, but the increased stakes make you fight harder.

Do you like the series and want to play the 2016 edition? If so then I suggest you buy the Android/iOS version and yourself a few pounds. But if you’re really want it on the PS Vita and have the money, then go ahead! You will have enough content to keep you playing.

I think it’s an ideal game for younger audiences and the more casual players. With its extremely modest price tag of only £3.49 I think it’s worth giving a try.
