Bastion is a beautiful adventure that feels so familiar like I‘ve played it all before; yet, somehow I was captivated by it from beginning to end.

Drift Streets Japan is a game brimming over with disappointment. From its PS2-era visuals and its inconsistent physics, to the complete lack of direction and/or rewards system, it offers nothing but unfulfilled potential.

Zotrix is a bit of a rough ride that turns to cinders under scrutiny.

A fun strategy game with a lot of gameplay hours, and a fun and colourful cast of characters. The story isn’t particularly deep, and neither is the gameplay, but the game’s charm still makes it well worth plugging the PS3 back in for.

A fantastic game and a must buy for any fan of the genre.

Arcade Archives: MAGMAX is a good game. It’s a well done port and I was happy to play it. But it’s just not worth paying $8 for.

The game is very fast paced, over the top and utterly relentless. The roster of characters is very good, and gives some very interesting gameplay options. The game uses a unique style, with fun gameplay and funny moments. It’s a game that is worth taking a look at, and will challenge you.

The game definitely lives up to it’s namesake, in that this is a game that is truly your own.

The battle system is clever and makes you think carefully about each attack and move you make. The story is very interesting and genuinely kept me entertained throughout. I liked the overall design of the worlds and characters and I would certainly recommend this game if you like old-fashioned JRPGs or a game that requires a bit of thought and patience.

Whether you’re looking to test your skills against this classic enemy or just relive some arcade action, Arcade Archives THE LEGEND OF KAGE does the trick about as well as any other from its era.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing really on offer here to make it stand out, but it’s a deftly made adventure nonetheless with sound mechanics that can’t be faulted on any fundamental level. Point-and-click junkies might love it, but newcomers should be commended if they manage to trudge their way through the woefully slow introduction to find a solid adventure on the other side.

The world is well thought out and designed. I enjoyed the puzzles, although tricky at times, and was always intrigued to find out where I was heading. If you fancy a game with a strong sense of style, unique controls and interesting puzzles then I recommend you give this game a go.

A fantastic game, one that’s criminally underrated and will go unnoticed or berated for its ‘awful’ visuals and gameplay. Whatever they may say, the game is a blast to play, and helped alleviate the tedium of the recent releases. Not every game has to have an amazing story, they just have to be a good and fun game.

The presentation of the game is what impressed me the most. GUILTY GEAR Xrd -SIGN- is simply stunning with awesome animations, vibrant colours and fluid movement.

Yakuza 5 is a fantastic late addition to the 2015 line up of RPGs, and deserves to stand with the others, such as The Witcher 3, or Fallout 4. If you’re already a Yakuza fan, then you already know how great this game is. But, if you’re new to the series Yakuza 5 is a fantastic way to start out. Please, play this game.

I admit I don’t Cosplay and never thought about it before but I enjoyed playing this game.

I have no problem saying that this is the best and most original sports game I have played since at least FIFA 12. It mixes all the best elements of sports and online multiplayer games into one in an affordable and seamless experience that looks awesome in YouTube videos as well.

A decent little game which I enjoyed playing through. The gameplay is simple, but requires some thought and consideration when taking on enemies. The game can get quite tricky at times, but I enjoyed the challenge.

It stands as a puzzle game that challenges you to K’Nex together your own brand of productivity while listening to wonderful audible treats. The aspects of fun and intrigue, unfortunately, don’t seem to come with this particular playset.

The core gameplay might well be extremely simple, but this is a deceptively deep experience, one that manages to effortlessly balance challenge and accessibility.

I give the game sh*t but truth be told I had a lot of fun with Zero Punctuation: Hatfall – Hatters Gonna Hat Edition because, luckily for me, I’m one of the already insane.

A game that hits you with it’s playful aesthetic and novel concept.

A fun game with a limited solo campaign. If you can get a few friends round or find them online then there is a lot of entertainment to be had but its let down by a lack of tracks in terms of number and length.

Zen Pinball has an amazing sense of physics for the most part, only let down by overactive bumpers.

A very impressive title from Codemasters. It’s great for hardcore rally enthusiasts but also offers a nice entry point for new gamers into this genre.

Gameplay, while fun in short bursts, gives way thanks to its own lack of walls into a side-bet over who killed the most helpless NPCs.

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter Remastered it’s an easy recommendation for nostalgic fans so long as they curb any lofty expectations of it being just as good as it was almost twenty years ago. Give this a try as a newcomer and you’ll be surprised to find a solid dino blasting relic that hasn’t quite defied the conventions of time, but is still fun nonetheless.

Despite its departure from Rainbow Six’s story driven roots, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege provides the means for an array of new multiplayer focused features ranging from unique weapon modifications, to several new specialists.
