Disco Elysium is not only a deep, innovative RPG, but is also one of those pieces of art that emerge maybe only once a decade. The Belarusian developers brutally throw the loneliness, struggles and helplessness of modern human into the players faces and leave them to deal with it. Disco Elysium not only offers a very deep and engaging story, but also mixes it superbly with some top of the line role playing elements, and gives you one of the most special experiences in recent years.

RE4 Remake is without a doubt one of the best remakes ever made if not the best, and the fact that it remained so loyal to the core gameplay that was designed almost two decades ago shows what a marvelous job Capcom did back in 2005, and proves that if something is done proper, it can last forever.

Although the original Hellblade was a unique addition to the action adventure genre at its time, it doesn’t even come close to be comparable to Hellblade 2, as Ninja Theory’s latest release is also their best yet. Hellblade 2 improved drastically over its predecessor while offering deep and engaging gameplay from start to finish and arguably the best visuals and sound design we’ve ever seen in a video game to date, making it the best Microsoft exclusive of the last decade.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 came out of nowhere with barely any hype and super low expectations, but it completely caught the gaming world off guard. It dives deep into philosophy and storytelling in a way most games don’t even try. On top of that, the gameplay is surprisingly deep and complex, and the visuals are absolutely gorgeous, it makes you wonder how a small team on a tight budget pulled off one of the best turn-based RPGs we’ve seen in years.

Solid gameplay, over the top world design, terrifying boss fights, eye catching visuals, deep combat mechanisms, endless possibilities, and many, many other things can be said about Elden Ring, but non of them can truly describe it for what it is. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an epic first-person RPG that delivers everything fans of the genre crave. It’s brutal, expansive, historically rich, and visually offering an experience that refuses to compromise its authenticity for mass appeal. Unlike many modern RPGs that soften their mechanics to accommodate a wider audience, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 stays true to its roots, embracing realism, complex gameplay, and a richly detailed medieval world. This dedication ensures that those who appreciate deep, unforgiving role-playing experiences get exactly what they desire. The game doesn’t hold your hand; instead, it challenges you to adapt, learn, and survive in a world that feels as authentic as unforgiving.

Every once in a while a game comes out that makes you appreciate being a gamer, and God of War Ragnarok is definitely one of those games. You will be surprised how every single moment of the game is thought through and how its world pulls you in. Santa Monica has reached a whole new level of maturity with the latest entry in the God of War series, and to go even beyond this level in the future is something that only a handful of studios might be capable of doing, and Santa Monica is one of them.

After the release of Breath of the Wild back in 2017, the hype for the sequel was so extraordinarily high that many expected that Nintendo might fail to deliver; but those people were brutally proven wrong by the release of Tears of the Kingdom. At this point, Tears of the Kingdom is not just a video game; it's more of a benchmark or platform for other developers to look at and get inspiration and then probably fail to come even close to it.

Wizard of Legend 2 doesn’t just improve on its predecessor, it confidently redefines it. Few developers can take an already near-perfect game and craft a sequel that surpasses it, but Supergiant Games is one of the rare exceptions. Hades was almost flawless, and Hades II feels like “flawless plus.” It builds on the original’s foundation with precision and purpose, expanding only where it truly counts, and delivers one of the finest roguelike experiences ever made, without the need to reinvent the wheel.
