There are brief moments throughout The Order: 1886 when it’s clearly striving for excellence, which only makes the end result more tragic. It’s easy to toss aside a game that looks bad or is full of bugs, but The Order feels like it should be a good game.- Arcade Sushi

If you’re in need of a virtual batting experience should download this free to play title. Just don’t expect a home run.- Arcade Sushi

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones has a few nice touches that I dig, but will I resume my Shadow Hunter duties anytime soon? Probably not, since there’s just way too many great apps out there waiting to be played on my iPad.- Arcade Sushi

Way To Go is puzzler that is cute, but ultimately two dimensional. It offers a few minutes of fun, but I have to recommend you steer your finger clear of the little tile icon in the App Store. There are so many better destinations for your puzzle loving brain.- Arcade Sushi

The Blue Blur’s had his name dragged through the mud by starring in many subpar games over the years, and Sonic Jump Fever is another ignoble entry in the muck pile.- Arcade Sushi

Unlike the Pixar movies themselves, which parents can enjoy just as much as their young ones, the same cannot be said for this pair of games.- Arcade Sushi

Tanglers Blitz is an innocuous and mildly entertaining app that, in the end, is also easily forgettable. It’s a worthy enough download since it’s free, but don’t once the ads stop popping up on your device, you may want to leave these aliens behind and let someone else do all the work.- Arcade Sushi

So unless you positively have to find out what happens to Brian and Gina for $4.99, I’d skip over this one and play another run-through of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead.- Arcade Sushi

Crescent Moon Games adds a few neat and new features to the endless runner genre, but doesn’t quite execute them to their greatest potential, leaving Gear Jack Black Hole as a somewhat solid, but ultimately unremarkable endless runner.- Arcade Sushi

But if you’re willing to pay money, you might as well should spend it on getting a better racer. And no, not the premium rides you can buy in CSR Classics, I mean a better racer.- Arcade Sushi

Unfortunately, these mutants are high maintenance, and unless you’re in the mood for burning a hole through your wallet, I’d find another group of warriors to battle with.- Arcade Sushi

If the Van Der Veer team would have focused on adding variety and more depth to the squad missions, this game would have been a much better experience.- Arcade Sushi

It’s a shame when you come across something like Pocket Titans; with more polished gameplay and aesthetics, this could have been a really fun game. As it stands now, it is likely destined to be forgotten among the many mundane apps available for the unwary gamer.- Arcade Sushi

Pixel Karts GP, sadly, lacks that fun, and feels like an unearned attempt to cash in on the nostalgia for better games of years since past.- Arcade Sushi

I wanted Desync to be good. I’m fan of games that actually test your reflexes and mettle but so much of this title just feels unfair. It controls well enough and when you’re actually able to get a combo going, it’s fun. Ultimately, those moments are too few and far between. Maybe with some improvements or toning down the difficulty and enemy speed, I’ll return to Desync. For now I’ll just to stick with games that do everything Desync tries to do with better results, like Bulletstorm or Doom.- Arcade Sushi

Fright Heights feels like a money grab from the get go, thanks to its game of chance mechanic and the frequent reminders of upgrade options. I would have shelled out a few coins if this app really gave chills up and down my spine. But currently I feel nothing but indifference, and that’s really nothing to be scared about.- Arcade Sushi

The addition of online multiplayer and vehicular customization could give players who really love bike racing a reason to try out Extreme Bike Trip. However, as it sits now, it’s just another drop in the mediocre, free-to-play hat.- Arcade Sushi

Skip Runaway: A Road Adventure. Skip the silly animation and voice acting. Skip the long and drawn out story. Skip the pixel hunting and instead treat yourself to other adventure games on the iOS. There are plenty around, so just take your pick and run away with that one instead.- Arcade Sushi

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier didn't just have an ambitious title, it also had a great deal of promise. The start of the third season was as memorable as anything Telltale had done before, but the story took turns in some strange directions that didn't have the payoff hinted at early on. Given Telltale's track record, we're not writing off the future of The Walking Dead, but A New Frontier's finish certainly raised questions as to whether or not Telltale has anything exciting left to say about this world.- Arcade Sushi

No matter what kind of iOS platformer you’re looking at, though, it’s probably going to be better than Squid Up, which about as average of a game as you can possibly make. It’s fine, it works, but there’s just nothing special to it.- Arcade Sushi

All in all, Jet Point feels a little too raw for a mass audience. But I do think it could serve as kind of a test run for a better title. Fortunately, all it takes is an update to fix some of the problems. Such is the magic of iOS indie releases.- Arcade Sushi

Godzilla provides an experience soaked in nostalgia that simply isn't fun to play after putting in time with it. Sure, hearing the roars, tearing through towns and beating up on Rodan were entertaining for the first few minutes, but it all goes downhill quite quickly.- Arcade Sushi
