Raising a family in 17th century Europe may never supplant my love for dungeons (or dragons), but next time someone asks me to help farm their land, maybe I’ll stay awhile.- Arcade Sushi

Contra Evolution is exactly that. It is an evolution of the classic with some updated graphics and some tweaks to the controls. Contra Evolution is a solid retread of a classic that adds a couple new features to keep the things interesting. But the somewhat tricky controls hold it back from being absolutely perfect.- Arcade Sushi

For just under four bucks, you’ll sail the high seas in an adventure that will keep you glued to your device. I’ve never collected toes or infested the ocean with environmentally dangerous gunk, but there’s a lot of things I’ve done on my iPad that will remain my dirty little secret. Add Pirate Legends to the pile of apps I’ll keep playing (and plundering), ’till the cows come home.- Arcade Sushi

Still in its infancy, PlayStation VR is waiting for its killer game. Superhot VR is a solid contender, but one that falls short of the mark due to the hardware's imprecision. It's a puzzling game that rewards you for patience and thoughtful approaches to difficult situations, but those tracking limitations spoil the fun more often than not. All that considered, the challenge is addictive, and the implementation of virtual reality into the world of Superhot makes the game nearly as enjoyable as its original release.- Arcade Sushi

Despite its tepid graphics and smartphone control issue, Lost Light is definitely a brainteaser that can keep most puzzle fans occupied for quite sometime. Unfortunately, its overall presentation was rather lacking and mental addition while swiping a finger on a dull-looking screen can get boring after a while.- Arcade Sushi

My love for When Ian Fell in the Machine also stems from my personal obsession with sausage. During my obese, high blood pressure ridden thirties, I would travel to my favorite breakfast joint and order a potato drenched sausage burrito. As I currently sit eating a few blueberries mixed in with way too much oatmeal, I drift back to my halcyon eating days.- Arcade Sushi

Pet Peaves Monsters is a highly recommended download, especially if your app filled existence yearns for those Tamagotchi days. As long as you’re willing to think outside the box and eat a few mushrooms along the way, the trip should be nothing short of fantastic.- Arcade Sushi

I love the absurdity of a game dedicated to collecting zombie fish. The controls are a bit of an issue and it’s not as feverishly addictive as something like Ridiculous Fishing, but I found myself coming back to this little title for more than a few rounds.- Arcade Sushi

Chock A Block is quite the fun little game. It’s simple, while providing a decent challenge and a workout for your fingers and your brains. If you like puzzles and crave a variety of game modes, consider checking it out.- Arcade Sushi

Besides, classic games like this were made for trial and error so that the persistent can come out victorious and with a real sense of accomplishment. This is one game that doesn’t hold your hand and offers a no-frills shooting experience.- Arcade Sushi

Deer Hunter 2014 may not be for everyone, especially for detractors who see hunting as a bloodsport. On a purely gaming level, I was more than pleasantly surprised.- Arcade Sushi

Disney Hidden Worlds may not be as hidden as it wants to be, as this app is a complete cinch to play. But visiting these lands with the touch and tap of a finger will always be a sublime experience.- Arcade Sushi

When you get down to it, the game doesn’t offer any variety. All the action takes place in a single screen with a gradually increasing number of bubbles moving at gradually increasing speeds, with the only long term goals being new high scores and new swag at the item shop. You can drop some coins to challenge Hyper Mode, but that’s just a higher risk, higher reward version of the same gameplay. That core action is fun, but it won’t keep you coming back for more than a handful of hours.- Arcade Sushi

Priced at a reasonable $2.99, Polyform delivers a solid three-match puzzle experience, giving gamers a visually spellbinding and intriguing take on a well worn genre. The title functions as a pleasurable pick-up-and-play app or as a fully immersive adventure.- Arcade Sushi

Kamikaze Pigs may come off as a total joke from the onset, but if you get past the relatively easy game play mechanic, this title has a surprising amount of nuance. This isn’t just a blow them up, score as many points adventure, but if you want to keep it on that playing field that’s completely fine.- Arcade Sushi

I guess you could say stuff like this is also part of Plants vs. Zombies, but I feel like they handled it better and it felt more balanced. Overall, this is an enjoyable title that should please not only tower defense fanatics, but anyone who can appreciate a game that’s eager to have some silly fun.- Arcade Sushi

If you’ve already played through State of Decay, Lifeline and Breakdown, then you’re not going to find anything really new in the Year One Survival Edition. Luckily, its already solid gameplay and story eclipse State of Decay’s lack of new content and its ongoing presentation issues.- Arcade Sushi

Though Ruzzle Adventure’s core gameplay makes for some delightful word-making action, its free-to-play trappings and lackluster presentation drag the experience down considerably, leaving you with a niggling feeling that you’d be having more fun playing Bejeweled, Bookworm or any number of similar, but better-executed, titles.- Arcade Sushi

Thus far my Ravenmark Mercenaries experience has been a pleasurable one, but with its potential hours upon days game play set up, I’ve yet to really skim the surface. Witching Hour Studios are hell bent on growing the title as the weeks progress with presumably more content, which is absolutely staggering. I never knew a bunch of money grubbing adventurers could capture my imagination, and thankfully their price tag won’t put me out of business.- Arcade Sushi
