Betelgeuse Brawl provides an approachable classic star-based 4x for the App Store that might be simple enough for new players, but a bit bland for veterans.- AppSpy

Towel Fight 2 takes its influences from games like The Binding of Isaac, and by extension, The Legend of Zelda, but its controls turn a well designed game into a frustrating experience.- AppSpy

Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is a complex co-op title that rewards players for working together, however it feels as though too much was crammed in without proper consideration of the device it was released on and it suffers terribly for it.- AppSpy

Fish Out Of Water! has an immediate and friendly appeal to its simple gameplay, but a polished interface is not enough to disguise the lack of variety in the gameplay itself - what should be a more-ish 'just one more go' system is buried under a system that rewards luck as much as skill.- AppSpy

If you loved the original Paperboy arcade title, then Paperboy: Special Delivery provides the goods, but the anachronistic gameplay isn't easy to enjoy if you missed it the first time around.- AppSpy

A Super Meatboy-esque platformer based around sodapop. Interesting level design and concepts are marred by a lack of responsiveness in the controls.- AppSpy

For fans of Pandemic 2 (and I know there are a lot of you), Pandemic 2.5 is exactly what you could have expected of a port of the title to the iOS. Unfortunately the opportunity to refine and address playability issues was not taken, leaving newer players more than a little lost and confused.- AppSpy

As things are it's challenging enough to manage the copious amounts of people in Cookie Rush without having much control over when the game is going to end; it's strangely addictive despite this problem, but frustration can kick in at any time.- AppSpy

A cute animal and a cute premise meant to entice the younger players, and while the gameplay is not too taxing, it's not entirely enjoyable either, mostly due to the pacing.- AppSpy

An interesting little platformer that's based around timing your way forward in order to get the treasure, complete with a low-fi presentation. Serviceable, but doesn't really deliver on its promise.- AppSpy

The KRPG as a genre needs to move forward from clunky, restrictive games like Inotia 4 if it wants to see success beyond its niche on the App Store; a decent title for fans, but an otherwise hard sell even at its low entry fee.- AppSpy

A run of the mill shoot em up with an interesting control scheme and trippy level design. Sadly this does do enough to outweigh the game's problems.- AppSpy

Third Blade is more flamboyant than your average side-scrolling beat'em-up and the ability to wield three unique weapons adds a bit of variety if you can afford the skills and time to grind for them.- AppSpy

Brandnew Boy has the right idea when it comes to testing out new methods for bringing exciting action-based gaming to the iOS platform, however it's riddled with problematic design issues that not only result in the game feeling incomplete, but also dull.- AppSpy

While you could stick with another basic twin-stick shooter, D.A.R.K at least attempts to go a step further by featuring a story and cinematics to set the mood; it's not a lot, but it's better than shooting things at random.- AppSpy
