To clarify, I played through Portal more than 10 times and did speed runs just for fun. I really really like Portaball and highly recommend it.

If you like your trivia with a healthy side of snark and a touch of risque, age hasn't mellowed You Don't Know Jack one bit, and it emerges onto the app scene as a very smart and sharp challenge for grown-ups.

Overall, I think Lightning Fighter is a nice take on a classic series but it left me wanting more.

If you can say "interactive avant-garde iPad gaming" with a straight face then you'll want to give Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP a go.

Office Chaos is a great game to play not only to get out the frustrations that must mount from working in an office environment, but because killing a red-eyed creature advancing on you with a fax machine is so satisfying.

This game is highly addictive. I could not tear myself away from it. Maybe it is only because I have not played a platformer game in a long time, but I found King Rupert to be a total blast.

Flying Hamster is truly a ridiculous app. Penguins using umbrellas as weapons and cows shooting deadly udder milk does not make a lot of sense but the controls are intuitive and your adversaries are hysterical which is reason enough to give the game a try.

This is a really strong entry from Crescent Moon Games.

It's fairly decent free entertainment, but there are better paid options out there.

The physics in the game are actually quite solid, and the gameplay is challenging enough to get you hooked for a while.

There's a lot to like about this little game: excellent writing, nice graphics, and puzzles that are actually fun to solve. Truthfully, the only complaint I had was the length of the game, and even then, it wasn't that I felt cheated in any way; I was just eager for more.

I enjoyed Perfect Cell, but it wasn't the masterpiece I was really hoping for. It's definitely an interesting and innovative game, but with its relatively high price tag of $4.99, I would expect much smoother controls, at the very least. Bottom line, it's not bad, but with a little more work, it really could have been great.

If you enjoyed Plants vs. Zombies, then Pro Zombie Soccer is a close second. It just needs a dash of movable play to give it what it lacks in terms of gameplay.

Altogether, I really enjoyed this game. Squareball is a rare game to experience because simplistic awesomeness doesn't come around very often. I have experienced some crashing which forced me to replay some levels, so I really hope that gets patched up soon since I really want to recommend this app for everyone to try.

My major wish for this app? A ricochet-path line to see exactly where my shots are going and a touch and drag style aiming system. Tapping the screen is just too inaccurate sometimes.

For now though, you can enjoy this app as it is similar to those Fire Emblem games but without the story substance or Japanese anime graphics. Maybe try Tin Town out if you are interested in mind-bending surrealism in your apps.

Is Forget-Me-Not better than Pac-Man? I'm not sure I'd go that far. But it's one of the best iPhone games I've seen, and I enthusiastically recommend it.

It's a trifle bland and on the generic side, but thanks to shiny graphics and an overall profession finish, it still manages to be a decent distraction for $0.99. Nothing outstanding, but still fun for a few minutes here and there.

City of Secrets is a very eye-catching and solid game, but the story and characters are too forgettable for this to become a true adventure classic.

The Garbageman is not an overall terrible app but it is way too plain to keep a person's attention for very long.

If I have one complaint about Extreme_Formula it is that the controls are not achieved through tilting. I think it would feel more like a race if I were gripping my iPhone as if it were a steering wheel. I otherwise had a great time racing.

I really enjoyed Bug Heroes. It's addictive, has tons of content, levelable characters with lots of variety and upgrades, lots of different enemy types, and it is one of the best tower-defense/scrolling shooters I've played on the iPhone.

The gameplay is fun and refreshing, the cars all feel the same, and the level design is average.

All in all, I enjoy the simple game at the heart of Dice Tower. I'm not sure if the additional scoring rules are necessary, but other players may enjoy the added challenge and strategy. In a way, it can be as easy or as difficult as the player wants.

It would be great if Biscuit Games would add more features to make it feel like I am in a colosseum. They can do this by including boss monsters on every five or ten levels and maybe include a way to judge your performance such as spectators throwing tomatoes at you if you are doing poorly or helpful items if you are doing a great job.

If you're into challenging puzzle games, this would be a game for you. But if you're the type that likes to skim through games quickly, stay away from this one.

An awesome game, given the $1.99 price tag, the fun gameplay, sharp graphics, and huge replay value.

Story mode was also much shorter than I expected, but Survival, Puzzle, and something called Gauntlet mode help to up the replay value a bit, as well as Game Center integration.

The graphics are very colorful, polished and crisp. The background can repeat but you'll be busy connecting icons so it is not a big deal. Pixelation and lag are not problems for this app.

Like any really good game, Bloons TD 4 is easy to learn, hard to master, but still a deeply satisfying experience at any level.

Trade Nations still retains a lot of the bad aspects of similar social sims, but the adorable graphics and more structured and complex gameplay help it stand out from the crowd a little.

Even with the annoying ads, Traffic Panic is still worth a download on your iPhone or iPod touch. It should take you two minutes to figure out if you like the game. If you do, those minutes will quickly become hours.

After a long time with Inotia 3, I can honestly say that it was very forgettable. The game is just not that interesting beyond the graphics. I really can't recommend such an average yet pricey game.

So, 10 levels, gun and swordplay, a really great combo system that has both style and substance, and really great graphics, this is one heck of an app. Dynamic action is hard to nail down in app form but Devil May Cry 4 Refrain is great.
