If you haven't played any of the previous Devil May Cry games, ironically, this is the best place to start, since it offers the best performance and a truly rewarding single-player experience.

You get plenty of bang for your buck and if you liked the original, you're bound to like Factions. The "sequel" or whatever you like to call it offers a lot of great stuff, albeit for the more hardcore GW fans.

Spore is an impressive and ambitious mix of game genres. Perhaps at some point, the developers saw it as overambitious, so it's obvious they started losing perspective a bit.

If you have never played any the Metro series, are looking to experience the stories again but with a lot of updates and some new content, or just need a post-apocalyptic fix , this might be the perfect opportunity for you. While the updates did not fix some of the little issues I had with the games, the performance and visual boost go a long way to help minimize them.

Enter the Gungeon is one of the most entertaining pixelated rogue-like shooters I played in recent times.

I can’t say that his Axiom Verge game has made me rethink my stance on retro/retro-inspired games or platformers, but I had more fun than I thought was possible with this type of game.

The exceedingly detailed characters have been perfectly animated, and simply look great regardless of whether they are wielding their swords and axes or casting spells.

A good deal, perhaps even better than Crysis. For $29.99 (which indeed is cheaper than a lot of releases today) it offers a compelling single-player ride (provided you're an "enthusiast"), new weapons and a satisfying and rather enjoyable multiplayer component.

The most obvious improvement from the previous games is the interface, which is now far simpler than it was in any other SimCity title... This is without a doubt the best SimCity game so far.

Great mission design, Titans add nice flair, good difficulty balancing, story, polished AI.

If the incessant swearing gets on your nerves, don't quit the game, just block your ears or turn the dialogue volume off, because this is a pretty solid game.

As an immersive and anxious experience that also manages to be just as beautiful as it is terrifying, SOMA is in a class all its own.

The arcade version/part of the game offers more cars than I've ever seen in an arcade racing game ever, although you probably won't giggle like you did when you crashed while playing Burnout.

A decent story; well-told and fitted excellently into a video game; beautiful artwork and level design are all essential parts of a good game, and TRON 2.0 has them all.

The levels still feel a little too restrictive, the scripted scenes will break again, and the German AI does tend to show flashes of blinding stupidity.

Pure and addictive RPG-flavored FPS action, extremely engaging co-op and altogether a vast and mysterious world waiting to be explored.

Gorgeously enough, the simplistic notion that this is merely a product of someone’s pleasantly twisted imagination overqualifies as entertainment. It's fu.king art and I love it.

Regarding graphics, it's really hard not to drool over this game. Seriously. The design and art team did a fabulous job on every single location that appears in the single-player campaign.

What I personally would've liked to have seen from DICE is even more creativity in terms of map design, game modes and player classes.

The work that has gone into balancing each class clearly shows when playing on each side. Graphically the game looks good enough for the fast-paced matches, though it might not justify the steep hardware requirements.

A technically solid and entertaining MMO that offers some interesting new features while emulating a number of the mechanics millions of players are familiar with and enjoy. I am cautiously optimistic for the future of Rift.

Sure it lacks more content, but what they have in there is well worth their $20 bucks, if for nothing else than for the sheer fun of playing the new and brilliantly designed maps.

To say that FIFA 16 is a return to form may very well be one of the biggest understatements of the year. In one foul swoop, EA has re-established itself as the preeminent name in soccer simulations.

The game is a blast to be honest, offering frenziedly choreographed combat, in addition to a fine choice of weapons you can employ against a range of deliciously challenging enemy encounters.

Even with all its minor and more significant shortcomings HALO is still one of the most enjoyable FPS games I've ever played. The single-player is immersive, well-told and at times simply brilliant. With a powerful enough rig, all PC shooter fans will definitely want to own this game.

Darksiders 2 gets a slightly lower score than the original, because it doesn't take much of an effort to surprise players. The gameplay mechanics are, in fact, all-too-familiar, while the narrative takes us on a relatively predictable path.

What struck me as a bit disappointing is that even if you devote enough time to the sequel, you will be treated to a relatively short single-player campaign.
