The story and trademark mix of historical facts with fictitious characters are one of the best in series history. But mechanically you feel the age of the original throughout.

Listening to well written dialogue and mixing drinks while meeting interesting characters - this is a little storytelling gem.

You will find motivating team abilities and well constructed tracks, but also some slight problems with visuals and balance. A decent, but futile try to dethrone Mario Kart 8 as this generation’s top fun racer.

The newest episode of the RPG saga delivers solid entertainment with its dynamic turn based battles and the alchemy experiments the franchise is known for.

Green Planet is a decent expansion adding quite a bit to the endgame, without enhancing the main elements, though.

Solid builder that reminds you of classics like Theme Hospital - without delivering the depth or humor, though.

It fails to replicate the disturbing psycho-horror of its predecessor whilst adding deadly threats. Instead only the frustrating trial&error as well as the shock recycling get under your skin.

Challenging mix of base building, expanding and battle, that would benefit from more content as well as variety and the “certain something” that would seperate it from your common run-of-the-mill strategy.

A really cool VR gangster drama with great entertainment value, especially if you use the Move controllers.

A beautifully designed action-adventure with great characters, believable dialogue and a clever mechanical mix of stealth, puzzles, fighting and teamwork in a surreal ocean of rats.

First of all, Blades of Time wasn’t a particularly good game when it was originally released seven years ago. And with this version showing even more performance issues than back then, I cannot find any reasonable answer why this game was granted a re-release.

Technically the Switch version of Resident Evil Zero delivers. Mechanically though the co-op focus was and still is a downer.

In theory the concept of Metroidvania platforming with bikes and elements of Trials still is promising. But technical shortcomings hold the One-version back.

Thoroughly entertaining top-down-action reminiscent of the early GTAs. While the economy and industry elements are a welcome addition they stay superficial and could be connected to the core mechanics in a more coherent or more meaningful way.

The idea with its mixture of platforming and physics based puzzles is good - and so is the minimalistic anime design. The mechanical execution with its surprsingly inert controls and the oversensitive physics calculations not so much.

If World War Z proves one thing, then how exceptionally good Left 4 Dead was more than 10 years ago. It tries to emulate the formula but in the end fails to replicate the good times.

This was and still is one of the best JRPGs. If you haven’t played it yet, you should give it a chance. Despite its original age, It looks quite decent and the battle system is a dream once you get used to it.

The action is mostly exhilerating, but the open world is a rather strangely lifeless barebones experience - except for the ressources, that you find in an inflationary abundance.

While I still consider the campaign one of the best of its kind in an open world action game, the visual translation of an eight year old game to Nintendo’s leaves a lot to be desired, seemingly pushing the hardware to its limit - and way too many times beyond that point.
