For me, in terms of horror, Cat People from 1942 is way ahead of Saw 3D or other cinematic torture masterpieces. If you feel the same way, Heartworm is a genre highlight.

A mafia adventure that is often rather mediocre in gameplay terms, but is still entertaining with charismatic characters and a competent, if hardly surprising, story.

A stylish open world and a great driving experience are held back only by minor niggles. If only those last two hours weren't there.

A narratively weak Soulslike, it nevertheless boasts a brilliant and challenging combat system and fresh ideas. On top of that, it has one of the best game worlds in the genre and stunning visuals.

Will this old-school odyssey become the new Monkey Island class leader in the click-along segment? Not at all! But a damn pixelated grindhouse movie to play along to has been born – with a hero like a whip crack.

An ambitious project that partially gets in its own way with an unattractive implementation. The interesting premise is offset by unmotivating gameplay.

Innovative, refreshing and incredibly entertaining: Donkey Kong Bananza inspires with new ideas without forgetting its roots.

Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition offers the core of the RTS masterpiece in a beautiful, fluid, and improved form – but this time with enough content.

It's a bit of a shame that Tamagotchi Plaza didn't take a few crucial extra steps, which I don't think would have been too much to ask. But the basic framework alone is satisfying enough to have fun with.

A technically solid, if not entirely flawless, implementation of Hogwarts Legacy. As entertaining as ever, but finally looking the same on the Switch 2 as it does on the other platforms.

Rematch is a strong, almost addictive soccer game with an arcade feel. However, its fundamentally good foundation is severely hindered by technical issues that prevent it from reaching its full potential.

Dune Awakening is a magnificent adaptation of the sci-fi original: thanks to the attention to detail and atmosphere, surviving on Arrakis becomes a true delight, only marred by minor bugs and rubberbanding.

The implementation of Cyberpunk 2077 for the Nintendo Switch 2 is absolutely successful: both technically and in terms of content, it offers a strong role-playing package. Only graphically, the version is clearly inferior to the PS5, PC, and Xbox competition.

Despite its rather lame open world, Mario Kart World is a blast for newcomers and seasoned hardcore fans alike. Fresh changes liven up the racing fun, and the knockout tour is a true stroke of genius.

Pixel by pixel, it's an old-school point-and-click adventure—and that's a good thing. Kathy Rain has survived the sequel unscathed, investigating better than Inspector Columbo and Mr. Monk combined.

While playing alone is a disaster, the multiplayer-portion of the game is surprisingly fun and diverse. Nightreign is an experiment that not always succeeds, but definitely a bold endeavor and if FromSoftware decides to tweak the balance a little, we might get a game that is eventually good no matter how you play.

Sunderfolk is a good start to introduce beginners to the world of tabletop games without a complex set of rules and a lot of setup. The controls via app are technically well done, while at the same time the gameplay is challenging enough to allow the player to spend hours and hours in the world of Arden.

At its best, Doom: The Dark Ages is a fantastic first-person shooter with a brutal combat system that is convincing almost across the board. However, the dragon and mech missions as well as the uncreative open level structures make sure that the pacing doesn't always feel perfectly smooth.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 sets new standards for the genre of turn based RPGs with regard to the story, but even more so the combat. A new, shining star, who hopefully points the way for many future games.

An atmospheric coming-of-age adventure with a strong '90s feel, its strongest selling point being its well-written and drawn main characters. The soundtrack is smashing, but Don't Nod runs out of steam for the finale, leaving many questions completely unanswered.
