Tethered is easy on the eyes. And easy in terms of mechanics. While it is always a joy to watch over your devoted followers the micromanagement soon becomes tedious and redundant.- 4P.de

If you are an oldschool aficionado you’ll get a nice collection of six NES classics with slight enhancements like in-game-saving (once per game) and rewind function to tone down the extreme difficulty. Plus you get a heap of bonus material like artworks and the soundtracks.- 4P.de

Most of the time it feels fascinating to shape an ancient civilization. You have a plethora of options at your disposal but sometimes it can become frustrating with the amount of detail you are involved with. That the presentation is very static doesn’t help either.- 4P.de

Solid expansion to the strategic journey into the Victorian era with rather superficial content.- 4P.de

Music based Tetris variation with its dynamically changing playing field is as good on consoles as it was on PC. A beautiful enhancement of a modern rhythm game classic.- 4P.de

From time to time you feel that the original is from a different era, considering that it is seven years old. The battle dynamics have been surpassed by the likes of Kratos, Bayonetta or Dante’s modern alter ego. Nonetheless it still is a thoroughly entertaining action-adventure that aged very well.- 4P.de

There is no doubt: This Total War has its moments where it shines in size, content and strategic power. But in the end you won’t remember all the things it succeeds at, but the plethora of annoying little things, where the Roman conquest falls short.- 4P.de

More of the same? No, better. Machine Games took the best elements from New Order and threw all the frills overboard. The result is a stylish prequel that managed to entertain me more than its big brother.- 4P.de

The diorama puzzles are easy on the eyes and show off creative ideas, but with a playtime of close to 2 hours this journey is extremely short lived.- 4P.de

With Strider Double Helix walks the tightrope between vintage mechanics and modern visuals – without making concessions to either side. Difficulty could be higher, though.- 4P.de

Mario vs. Donkey Kong offers entertaining puzzle fun with a nice, revised look and some new levels, but unfortunately it lacks almost any form of challenge and is a bit expensive for its size.- 4P.de

Almost seven years passed since Dead or Alive 4 – a long time in which beat'em ups progressed quite a bit. This progressed seems to have passed by Team Ninja. A little more action, a little less counter attack. The unique fighting system still is tremendously motivating and delivers. But that aside this T & A show doesn't have much too offer.- 4P.de

Fast katana action with Yokai as collectibles and a hint of Okami. Unfortunately it needs polish - mostly in presentation.- 4P.de

Fast-paced 2D action game - half remake, half sequel - that will keep you entertained for a couple of hours without big ideas and looks beautiful at the same time.- 4P.de

Playing Indigo Prophecy after ten years feels like coming home. The storytelling and direction that surprised the gaming world in 2005 still works. Yes: the controversy about the ending still is there, but there is no denying nonetheless that this is one of the few very important games in recent memory.- 4P.de

Timeless game concept, moderate modernization: Visually, Pharaoh - A New Era could have done a lot more, and important features were also removed. Nevertheless, the city builder in ancient Egypt convinces playfully.- 4P.de

After the disgraceful neo-western The Cartel, Techland goes back to its Call of Juarez-roots with Gunslinger. And while the arcade mechanics rarely go beyond average, the imaginative narrative and the visual style draw you deep into the alternative history of Billy the Kid, Jesse James and Silas Greaves.- 4P.de

On one hand Obduction follows the adventure traditions of Myst, while on the other it adds modern storytelling layers that remind you of games like Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – just don’t expect a puzzle density like in The Witness.- 4P.de

Insomniac does it again. While it is rather short, the latest adventure of this duo is a well executed epilogue to a trilogy that shaped action platforming in this console generation.- 4P.de

I have to keep an eye on my provisions, I have to leave the safe path and might have to face deadly foes. If I don't want to die I have to face my fears and accept a suspenseful and lethal game of hide-and-seek. I've never experienced a more intense fight for survival in an open world.- 4P.de
