The backdrops are beautifully drawn, the story evolving around Geron and his dark visions is captivating. The puzzles will get quite difficult in later stages, though. But even the slight technical problems shouldn't keep you from this adventure trip thru Aventuria.- 4P.de

The action takes its inspiration clearly from games like Gears of War, mixes it with a little Rage and adds Army of Two as garnish. The problem: It rarely achieves the quality of the originals. Vector and gravity changes are interesting elements, but are just tapping their potential.- 4P.de

German developers Yager put the horror of war on the screen – brutal, ruthless and depressing at times. In its' quiet moments it generates a fantastic atmosphere set in the Dubai desert. But this is still a shooter and regarding action and especially AI it falls short.- 4P.de

This Ghost Recon focuses more on action and less on tactical advancement. Additionally the campaign is rarely a challenge. If you're hoping to get a continuation of the virtues of Advanced Warfighter, you will be disappointed. Technically the PC-version is way ahead of its' console counterparts, but the multiplayer doesn't offer quite as much.- 4P.de

My hope to witness the reincarnation of a "small" Bayonetta was shattered fast. At one point Max mumbles almost like Sylvester Stallone. And that's when I thought "Killing is as easy but also as boring as breathing". What once was a stylistic masterpiece with rough edges now becomes mass compatible mainstream action for the Call of Duty generation.- 4P.de

Yes, architecture and costumes are adequate. And yes, you can influence little things while both storylines offer interesting twists and turns. If you like your races rough and tough and are not afraid to put scratches and dents onto the paint, this one is definitely for you. But be aware that this showdown is some sort of recycling machine where DiRt 3 players will recognize Gymkhana and the majority of the locations.- 4P.de

Nihilistic proves that ego-action finally can work rather well on mobile platforms – in theory. But as part of the Resistance franchise Burning Skies is rather disappointing. The formula has been boiled down to run of the mill action with unbelievable characters in rather bland surroundings and forced touch controls that will distract you more than they will help.- 4P.de

The journey through Capcom's dragon infested world has left its mark on me. You'll encounter interesting situations, intense fights and motivating goals. On the other hand the scenery is fragile, a lot of quests are monotonous. Yes, it could have been better on a few levels. Kat's adventure has a lot in common with Mirror's Edge: Both games fascinate with their very unique way of movement. Gravity Rush almost breaks through all limitations into a nearly endless freedom. A decade ago Blizzard ruled the Hack&Slay world with an iron fist but its new expedition into hell is just one among many well-executed action roleplaying games. They rely too much on well known mechanics to set themselves apart from the competition. Is it an experience worth your time? Absolutely - especially if you have some friends to beat up the spawns of hell. But Diablo 3 missed the chance to move the genre into the future.- 4P.de

If you label a game Max Payne you should put Max Payne in it. I loved Max, because he had style and character – like a good whiskey. But this tastes like a colorful cocktail and plays like an explosive military shooter with Latinas in their stringtangas dancing to the bullet-staccato. Nonetheless you'll get solid entertainment with cynical comments, convincing digital actors and the occasional bullet in the head.- 4P.de

The short solo-campaign is hardly worth talking about, even though the action on the ground and in space is well executed. But the multiplayer makes up for it: The battles are as tactical as they are frantic, the troops have distinctive strengths and weaknesses and you can use the surroundings to your advantage.- 4P.de

The uninspired mission design is not the only problem that Exodus is confronted with. After the short campaign you hardly find any reasons to blast into space. But not everything is bad: Controls are spot on, the upgrade system works well and the plot delivers some well executed cynicism.- 4P.de

Only on the console you'll get basic explanations as well as comfortable crafting without having to read through millions of forum pages. But the pad-explored worlds are limited and not infinite like on the PC with the result of you losing a sense of freedom. It is still fascinating, though.- 4P.de

Whenever the authors finally get the chance to tell their story it evolves further than "Gears of Blade Runner". Nonetheless Binary Domain gets stuck in the middle between the eastern excellence of bossfights and the western school of modern shooter action. I was very skeptical, but after finishing the first episode I have to give kudos to Telltale. They captured the spirit of the saga in a very convincing manner. The mix of classic point&click virtues and more recent elements like realtime action and quicktime events reminds me of Heavy Rain.- 4P.de
