Overall Wizard Ops is an enjoyable experience, with a solid control scheme. Here's hoping the next installment offers a bit more of a challenge.

This game has a lot going on and lots of it gives Space Tripper its unique flavor. However, the game's controls and its difficulty don't mesh well and make it very hard to enjoy all of its finer points. Combine that with what is fairly high price tag for an app of this type, players may want to think seriously before adding this to their collection.

Players should be able to progress in the game well enough without needing extra items. I was very impressed with the game, and given that it's free and a universal app, I would definitely recommend it.

I'm a sucker for character customization so I really liked messing around with the outfits (I settled on a kind of hipster office worker rendition of Jason Voorhees wielding a battle axe). The combat is a tad simple, but it's interesting to try and predict the other user's moves before the match even starts. And blocking a really nasty attack always satisfies. As does unlocking new gear.

INC is not perfect, but it's another solid action-platformer from OrangePixel. Fans of games with cloud-based saves and remote control support will want to check this one out.

An absolutely fantastic puzzle game, injecting humour and personality into a tried and tested puzzle formula. The multiplayer is also one of the best on iOS devices.

Players can view their high score but there is no real way to share them so it adds little value. Some may perhaps find a kind of vague, mindless sort of fun in playing Bagatelle Pinball HD. Beyond that though, there are many more engaging games in the App Store.

The graphics are gorgeous and the video adds a refreshing albeit eerie twist. The story, while perhaps pushing the boundaries of suspended disbelief, is nonetheless one players will stick around to see conclude.

Jurassic Park: The Game 1 just isn't very exciting despite the subject matter. The story and dialogue just isn't up to the quality of past Telltale Games which is a great disappointment.

For the physics puzzle fan, Nutty Sam is an ideal game to check out.

Overall 7 SEVEN The Thousand Year War is a good game, with plenty of depth, providing the player has the patience or money to help progression.

VoidScapes is worth playing if only to see how one would go about updating something as ancient as rock, paper, scissors. It's held back but the inherent simplicity of the concept but it's a valiant effort all the same. Here's hoping for an update that adds that schoolyard favorite: an unbeatable nuclear bomb option.

It's a well-crafted pick-up-and-play title with plenty of content (45+ levels and 2 different endless modes). It's just that it's also incredibly tough. Something that will undoubtedly appeal to some, but not all.

It's hard to firmly recommend Girl with a Heart of on iOS due to its clunky interface, slow pacing and the somewhat unrealized execution of a potentially intriguing premise. On the other hand, it does try to do something different than we're used to, which is commendable.

RPM: Gymkhana Racing is a good racer, but it's also drastically different from the norm. Fans of drifting should have no trouble jumping right in and enjoying themselves, but those more used to more typical kinds of racing should be prepared for a much different driving experience.

What Extraction has done is to find a way to boil down the normally complex shooter controls down to simple commands that can be issued seamlessly with one finger.

It's an ideal game for such a purpose, never taking that long to achieve something. While not as skillful as something like Fruit Ninja, there is some fun to be had here.

For its well developed gameplay, extensive level offerings and superhero abilities, Superman is a iOS game that new and old fans will enjoy.

I think Parallel Universe is a fantastic proof-of-concept, but it's going to need a lot of adjustments before it's really any fun. It's more framework than fleshed-out game.

THE aMAZEing Labyrinth is a great puzzle game, enticing the player in with a few gentle levels before hooking them entirely. Well worth a play.

Based on its unique physics-based puzzle gameplay along with its interesting combination of weapons, I'd say Corpse Granny is a must download and will surprise even the youngest of players.

The physics are a bit unpredictable at first, but this is mostly because each track is so different from the last that is seems a whole new set of physics must be at play. jAggy Race is fun but it's certainly not for precision drivers.

Anyone who loves any sort of tower defense game is sure to love this game as well. It is currently on sale for $0.99 but even the full price would be worth the investment.

Chickon is a goofy spin-off on the classic iPhone strategy game Galcon, and although it isn't quite as addicting or deep, there's plenty of fun to be had.

An extremely addictive title. I've played many word puzzle games but this is by far one of the best in recent years. Its simplicity is precisely what makes it so beguiling.

The free end of Asteroids Gunner offers plenty of boulder-blasting enjoyment, especially if one likes the satisfaction of chasing the cost of that next upgrade or besting an old completion time. And all of this without the risk of swollen thumbs; isn't modern technology great?

Raccoon Rising doesn't feel like an essential part of the ascension platformer canon; the overall feel of the game and lacking features make it feel like it falls just short of what it needs to be a truly great game in its admittedly crowded genre.

It ultimately amounts to little more than a fresh coat of paint, but Mafia Wars Shakedown is every bit as habit-forming as its forbears.
