All in all this is a really entertaining title with some solid design behind it, and it shows.

Alive4ever mini is on the verge of being a brand new game rather than a sequel. It's perfect for fans of the series who need something to hold them over until the release of the third installment, but it's also great for anyone who is new to the series.

Essentially, it's a soccer themed puzzle game. Figuring out the best route to take and lining up shots just right is the focus here. While it's not possible to deviate from the original plan, there are still some important physics to take into account. Unlocking Pro mode reinforces this as it takes line drawing speed into account which can change everything.

The graphics are a mix of upgrades and seemingly older assets. That there are pixellation issues at all is rather inexcusable for a sequel. The new backgrounds and user interface elements are crisp and clean-looking, while the little brain and distraction icons seem to be the exact same assets from the previous game. This feels a little like being cheated.

From the funky music and impressive graphics to the addictive game play, Monkey Pong is one arcade game that players won't want to pass up in the App Store. Don't monkey around with the decision to check it out today.

David Haye's Knockout suffers slightly for its, on the surface, short length. While offering only three opponents sounds limited, there's a challenge here that should keep players happy David Haye's Knockout captures some of the strategy of the sport while keeping things light.

Slingshot Racing is a ton of fun. The quick sessions make it perfect for pick-up-and-play gameplay, the grappling hook mechanic is very easy to learn, yet difficult to truly master. Snowbolt and Crescent Moon have absolutely nailed this game.

There's nothing to nit-pick. Boomlings looks good, is highly polished and doesn't abuse the freemium model. It's a great time waster with habit-forming potential.

This game is unique: a truly hardcore mobile game. I don't mean that in the sense that it's like N.O.V.A. 3, but that it is for a player who wants to combine mobile gaming convenience with an experience that requires serious commitment.

Wingsuit Stickman is a fun game that takes full advantage of accelerometer controls. But it can be quite challenging. I would NOT suggest this game to someone with a short temper when it comes to games. I have a friend that I'm quite sure would through an iPhone if I got him to play this one.

Defender Chronicles 2 should satisfy those that want a unique spin on tower defense, or were clamoring for a sequel years after the innovative original game, though it is something of a flawed title.

Every pixel in Gun Runner is placed as a solid homage to the 80′s titles that inspired it. Even the heavy metal bleeps and bloops of the 8-bit soundtrack are perfect for a quick trip back in time with a shiny new game.

The game was a flawless execution of a simple concept that is hard to put down. I played the game long after I felt comfortable writing this review. It has the same addiciting quality as Temple Run, but with gameplay that feels a bit more skillful.

Spider: the Secret of Bryce Manor is an impressive, original game due to its well-implemented controls, beautiful graphics, unique gameplay, and multi-layered, subtly presented story.

City King definitely deserves credit for trying to do things differently. It's just unfortunate that the different stuff needs a lot of refinement. Still, those looking for location-based gaming with more of an emphasis on the actual "game" part could certainly do worse.

Over the top in all the right ways, and it's fantastic because of it. The animation and great controls make this a fun use of $0.99.

Rage of Bahamut is one surprisingly cool CCG. It keeps things interesting by changing up the expected formula quite a bit and features some incredibly clever ideas. I'd say it's definitely worth a look.

There are only 17 total "jobs" in the game for players to compete. This is simply too little. The levels don't take long to complete and, beside from boss battles, they aren't particularly challenging.

While I actually prefer Bird Zapper's gameplay, Bug Assault has a fair bit to recommend it especially the unusual control mechanic. It's a solid pick, particularly for households with young gamers.

Assuming someone isn't looking for a single-player only game, there's plenty of entertainment to be had with Scotland Yard. It's easy to learn and lots of fun. Just know that it truly shines when played with or against other people.

A good casual game. It lacks depth and can get repetitive, but is perfect for killing a few minutes. The controls are easy to learn and the special attacks offer a nice twist. Anybody who hates eating his or her vegetables should consider giving it a try.

Robbery Bob's learning curve is gradual, and while the level designs are not the most innovative, there are enough incentives to keep fans replaying, with lots of checkpoints and frequent instructions to make moving forward easy for the less committed. Robbery Bob is not the deepest stealth game on the App Store, but for the price it's definitely worth checking out for short burst of shifty fun.

While it can be frustrating to play, the game has some interesting puzzles to try and solve, and the trying to plan out all of its timing-based puzzles are challenging but rewarding when they work. The core of the game just doesn't feel like it quite works at the moment.
