It's an exceptional value and a fascinating story.

There is a simple charm to fighting enemy after enemy, though only in short bursts because variety is not Cartoon Wars Blade's strong point.

With so much going for it though, it's hard not to urge gamers to pick up their sword and fight for the crown. Or at least pick up their mobile device. That's probably safer.

Gibbets 2 is a fun, fast-paced puzzler. The game forces players to make quick decisions and make good shots.

A furiously frantic yet highly enjoyable Match Three title.

If you love a good mystery and games that make you feel clever, I highly recommend buying The Room today.

This focus on in-app purchases is a little infuriating as no one likes to be encouraged to spend quite so readily, even when playing a free to play game. There's no need to spend this money but the constant reminders will still frustrate. It dampens an otherwise enjoyable title.

SciBeaver is a more cerebral challenge than is usually expected on the App Store, especially once a variety of different lights are used in certain stages. This will mean that SciBeaver isn't for everyone. For those after challenging brainteasers, though, it's a hit and one that should keep players busy for a while to come yet.

Despite the lack of polish it does give players quite a few features and mechanics to play with, and it has a robust bestiary.

It's a solid Tower Defense game with a hook that just might be different enough to interest anyone burned out on the genre.

It's a great simple game to kill time, but it's not the kind of thing I could picture most iOS users draining their batteries over. Although it is fun, and sometimes people just want to have fun without a bunch of thinking or rules to hinder their enjoyment. In which case they should look to Neon Blitz.

At the risk of sounding cliché, it's not hard to argue that FIFA 13 is a pitch perfect adaption of the world's sport. While that might be a bit extreme, the brand's dedication to tweaking game mechanics until they are perfect, seems to be shining through loud and clear.

Crafty Creatures' aesthetic isn't just about looking good. The creative potential of arts and crafts represents the creative potential of the game itself. That potential shouldn't be left to go to waste.

Overall, Fire Escapes is good for killing a few minutes, but due to a lack of variation in the game play, it won't hold players' attention for too long. The graphics are retro and well done, and it's only $0.99, so it's definitely not a bad deal.

The whole game is played out in glorious cartoon graphics with entertaining sounds and I can easily see this game appealing to the younger iPad owning generation.

Is the action of NinjSmash all that compelling? Not particularly. That said, there are far worse ways to spend an hour playing games on an iOS device.

Overall, Klopex Galactic Bubble for iPhone is a typical bubble game. It has a couple interesting and unique additions, like the space trek mode, but the main gameplay is pretty standard. If online multiplayer is added soon, it could make it very appealing.

Oh, My Cat! doesn't offer quite enough content to be as addictive as some of the more popular Endless Runners already out there, but it is cute enough to give some acknowledgement to. With a little more content, there could be something special within these spaceship walls.

I'm not a real-time strategy guy - not by a long shot. So the fact that I enjoy Castle Raid as much as I do is a powerful statement.

It can be repetitive at times and I personally don't think it will be a game that keeps players constantly coming back for more. Having said that, I do think the price of $0.99 is fair and the game is a nice addition to the retro-themed genre.

Given its inevitably repetitive nature, Demons' Score is tough to recommend. It starts out so well but it's not long before it becomes apparent that it's all just too steep a price to persevere at, no matter how uniquely quirky the story might be.

It's cute, accessible, and has a decent amount of variety. It also tends to be confusing, difficult to control with precision, and feels more like a collection of mini-games than a complete title. It's certainly not bad and is worth a look from the curious, but it's also not exactly rocking the foundations of the App Store.

For a quick game that can be put down when players get frustrated or have to engage in something else, Cubicworld is a fun little brain twister. It scratches that itch that wants to challenge our minds with classic puzzles that make us approach problems in new ways.

Lili is a game that looks great, and optimally could have been a more open Infinity Blade-esque game, but in the end, the repetition and unnecessary elements drag it down.

A lot of thought has gone into the whole game, from the retina display graphics, to the layout of the title screen; which allows you to scroll around to enjoy the hi-res graphics even more. Everything works, and works well.

The CATch! is a fun high-score based title that fails to innovate on an already tired genre. While not a bad game, per se; to most, this is hard to recommend to anyone other than someone desperate for a game similar to Temple Run.

Despite its somewhat twitch gameplay, Min – A Space Adventure really is more about quickly but passively reacting to what is happening on screen rather than directly engaging with it. However, sometimes reacting to something cool and interesting is engaging in its own way. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
