For those who have never played Bastion, you have no excuse now. It's a steal – $4.99 for the full game – and it's a beautiful, clever, absolutely one-of-a-kind experience.

This streamlined version of Rocket League is both fun in its own right and completely free of cynical monetization schemes.

Blending together equal parts simplicity and self-induced complexity, the game is an ideal fit on the platform. Don't even bother to debate this ninety nine cent purchase. It should become a mandatory staple of your collection as soon as possible.

Papa Sangre really is one of the most unique games out there on the App Store. It's clever use of binaural audio and Hollywood quality voice acting and sound makes it a game that I will show off again and again to my friends.

I've gotten absolutely hooked on Mikey Shorts. I felt compelled to get 100% in Story mode. I keep going back to play more of the 48 Challenge levels. I collect coins so I can run amok in a top hat, monocle, and duck bill because why not. But most of all, it's the way that the game is designed to be empowering.

My favorite iPhone game. Ever. If I wasn't such a civilized individual, this statement would be filled with expletives to help you understand how kick ass this game is. But you should just buy the game and insert your own expletives here.

Gorogoa is a fantastic puzzle game. Its mechanics are simple, but they get used in immensely creative ways and intertwine seamlessly with some gorgeous artwork and intriguing storytelling. If you’re looking for your next new favorite puzzle adventure on mobile, this is it.

Rimelands is the first turn based RPG that I didn't feel constrained by the controls or game speed. On top of that, there is a good story, there are good characters, good combat, good level designs, and good graphics.

I have a hard time thinking of a more compelling action experience than I Am Your Beast, on mobile or elsewhere. Every aspect of it is so tightly wound and propulsive that it makes you want to churn through it just as quickly as Alphonse kills people, and--trust me--that is a good thing.

Pocket Run Pool is most certainly the best pool game I've played on a phone. It has simple, intuitive controls, and a setup that lets you play offline anywhere and always have a satisfying challenge. What's more is that it has creative modes that keep the experience interesting and drive you to keep playing it over the long-term to improve your skills. It's hard to imagine what else this package could have to make it more compelling. Do yourself a favor and give it a download.

Vampire Survivors is a power fantasy distilled down into an extremely potent form, but there's also more to it than that. On mobile it plays as well as can be expected, but also allows for traditional controller support if people just want another platform to be able to play this amazing game on, and for free no less!

Night Book's tight storytelling and convincingly creepy tone held my attention for multiple playthroughs in a single sitting. It's rare for a game to do that, much less an FMV game. If you grab the game for free and like how it starts, I fully recommend you pay to unlock the full game to experience it for yourself.
