While Army of Darkness Defense suffers from repetition issues, they are minor quibbles in what is one of my favorite castle defense games on the App Store. Even for those who are not fans of the Evil Dead franchise, the game has enough fun, addiction, humor, and lasting power to make it a definite recommendation, especially for the paltry sum of $0.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch versions.- 148Apps

When it comes to sci-fi/western mash-up arcade games, I can't think of a better example than Pixel Ranger. It's just simply… endearing.- 148Apps

This game looks nothing short of gorgeous, and it really shows off how pretty an iOS game can be. The action may be a bit scripted and linear but it is so varied from moment to moment and executed so smoothly that players will hardly feel confined or restricted. This is a much needed addition to the iOS library, and it shines.- 148Apps

I really can't recommend Eco Punk enough. It's got a killer personality (literally), great controls, and the game itself is perfect for pick-up-and-play gaming.- 148Apps

Overall, Paul & Percy gets high marks. This is definitely a game for those who are interested in testing their planning and strategy skills. Currently, there are 50 levels that will take a decent amount of time to complete, especially if players want to obtain gold medals in each level.- 148Apps

Although the tower defense genre seems to be a little saturated, I think that Defenders of Ardania is a nice addition. The fact that it allows players to actually play some offense makes it stand apart from the rest.- 148Apps

The RPG elements are light enough that they aren't overwhelming, yet compelling enough to be engaging. It's a definite must-play for fans of action-RPGs, and for those looking for a twist on the Super Crate Box formula.- 148Apps

One of the best games I've had the privilege to review. With numerous guns, great graphics, and over 200 levels spread over multiple level packs, the app is a great deal for the $0.99 price tag.- 148Apps

Most definitely a game that people could be playing on their next commute. It has the kind of pick-up-and-play gameplay that so many other games strive to achieve, but few perfect. Sly Fox is definitely a game that deserves a place on the homescreen.- 148Apps

There are few other games on iOS with the kind of gameplay that is deceptively complex, and with the kind of addictive properties to keep me going at it for hours on end, shirking all other responsibilities. When it isn't having technical issues, it is a must have.- 148Apps

Activision's efforts in creating a faithful port of a hit console game a decade old was successful and should be applauded. The virtual control scheme, while not perfect, works; it just may take some players a little time to adjust to it before they're comfortable with the controls.- 148Apps
