Golf Zero is an amazing game that can be aggravating, but in two entirely different ways. If you pay for the game, you'll be grinning ear-to-ear as you restart levels over and over again, shooting for one more hole. If you don't, you'll be treated to a bunch of video ads that will take you out of the action and likely make you delete the app. Do yourself a favor and pay for Golf Zero. For two bucks, you'll be buying yourself one of the best platformers on iOS.- 148Apps

I’m glad that Hyper Light Drifter is on mobile, but it doesn’t exactly seem like a great fit. Between the slow ramp up and performance problems, it’s probably best to play this game elsewhere if you can. If you can’t, it’s still possible to enjoy the game on iOS. I did, but I probably would have had more fun with it on console or PC, assuming those versions don’t have similar issues.- 148Apps

Just an absolute joy. With mechanics that are nearly perfect, and a style that is difficult to out-do, this is a game that must be checked out by anyone who likes endless runner games, or anyone who just likes to feel happy while they play. This game is just fun.- 148Apps

Fans of the Cut the Rope experience will certainly not be let down by the most recent time traveling outing. This is very much one of the cases where, “more of the same,” is perfectly acceptable. Don’t even think twice about ponying up for this sweet treat.- 148Apps

Again, there are plenty of great pieces to read on the ins and outs of what makes Dead Cells a great game. This mobile version is that exact game, but it’s a little harder to enjoy on this particular platform. So, unless the iOS version of the game is the only way you can play Dead Cells or you want to have yet another way to play it, I’m not sure why you’d get this version over the ones that came out last year.- 148Apps

As a Zelda fan myself; it was hard to go through Sacred Odyssey at times knowing that if Zelda were on the iPhone it would be a richer experience. I don't want to take too much away from Gameloft, as they did a fine job, but Sacred Odyssey doesn't do enough to make me not long for some kind of Apple/Nintendo partnership.- 148Apps

Not all games age elegantly. Though while Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is certainly showing its age, everything that made it great still shows through brilliantly.- 148Apps

Shining Force is an underappreciated classic, and while its age sometimes shows, it is a good port by Sega to iOS, and a great representation of a strategy RPG worth checking out to this day, at a fair price.- 148Apps

For being a sequel, Zenonia 2 doesn't bring a ton of new stuff to the table. Still, that's OK…because it just builds on something that was great to begin with and adds tons to it.- 148Apps

Zen Studios has shown that they truly are the future of the Jedi Knights, as long as players prefer flippers to lightsabers. Don’t think twice about pulling the trigger on this purchase.- 148Apps

Suffice it to say, Cave has done it yet again. Bug Princess is another great shooter to add to the ol' iOS library. It's significantly cheaper than its brethren, too, so it's also bound to appeal to frugal entomophobics everywhere.- 148Apps

With a funny storyline, 142 rounds of 3D action set across 34 locations, bonus levels, power ups and varied gameplay controls, Banzai Rabbit is fun, challenging and nostalgically appealing. If you do one thing for Johnny, man, get this game.- 148Apps

Football Manager Handheld 2012 isn't quite a revolution in soccer management but the addition of Challenge mode does go some way to encouraging that idea. It'd be nice to see some more hands on controls mid match in a future edition.- 148Apps

I loved my first playthrough of Firetop Mountain, even though I died. On the second playthrough, I was laser focused on beating it and did so while skipping over a lot of the text I read the first time. After that, I didn't really want to go back to the game. For a roguelike, this would be a terrible thing, but for a game book, I suppose that's not too shabby. Despite some of its issues, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain is certainly a complete and compelling package, though maybe not one you'll want to revisit.- 148Apps

Crying Suns puts more than a simple twist on a tried-and-true formula. It combines multi-faceted systems with a unique narrative structure in ways that breathe new life and mystery into something that initially appears derivative. Despite a few UI quirks, Crying Suns is a refreshing sci-fi roguelite experience, and the mobile port features the modern conveniences (like save syncing) you'd want for on-the-go play.- 148Apps

A fun, beautiful game that offers a good amount of entertainment. It's not a mind-blowing experience, but it is entertaining and very well-made. Just keep in mind that the blobs are only cute until they try and kill you with fire; then things start getting real.- 148Apps
