The city-builder/sim franchise, which pits you as El Presidente, the leader (dictator?) of a fictitious banana republic, has a few changes in store for its sixth installment (the first since 2015's Tropico 5). For the first time, you can build bridges—literally, as the setting is a large archipelago in the Caribbean, putting you in charge of multiple islands at once. Gameplay spans four separate areas ranging from colonial times to the present day. There are new transportation options, and you'll be able to steal wonders of the world (like the Statue of Liberty) from other countries and bring them to your people. Expect a new visual look as well, since Tropico 6 comes from a developer (Limbic Entertainment) that is new to the series.
