With two big-time movies starring primates—Kong: Skull Island and War for the Planet of the Apes—bowing in 2017, we thought it was time to rank all of the monkey movies of the past 25 years by Metascore.
In this reboot of the King Kong franchise, a group of voyagers travel to an uncharted island, only to awaken the giant ape.
TheWrap said this 2017 film “has the square tidiness of a compartmentalized fast-food meal.”
