Mary Pat Gleason

Biography: Actress Mary Pat Gleason debuted onscreen in the early '80s (with a bit part in the 1983 Rodney Dangerfield comedy Easy Money) and tackled a series of character portrayals in a variety of genres over the following decades. She specialized in playing dowdy, overweight, and slightly assertive matronly types, including waitresses, nurses, and librarians. Gleason's extensive resumé includes the films Soapdish (1991), Speechless (1994), Bruce Almighty (2003), and Moving McAllister (2007).
