Jul 9, 2026They aren’t rehashing the past; they’re combining these influences with an unhinged noise rock diet of Jesus Lizard and fellow Flensers, Chat Pile, creating a caustic outlet for handling 2026’s fresh hell. .... The Truck Violence lads haul themselves through miles of grim filth to emerge sparkling on the other side in a big emotional ending with guitars soaring as free as the vocals. It’s a moment of long overdue catharsis.

Jul 9, 2026Particularly straight edge in its eco-sensibilities, the record reckons with the good of nature and its human-made destruction, in part with the blend of hardcore with wistful folk music, one that is unfortunately too often overpowered by the former. This is what makes the Montreal-based outfit stand out from countless other post-hardcore outfits, though.

Jul 9, 2026Played in full, the album begins in a place of bottled anger, prying open cracks for agony to burst outward and concluding with a release of sorrow and exhaustion. That physicality works best when transferred through the band’s delivery, even if the compositions hamper that rate this go-around.

Jul 9, 2026Certainly different and certainly a layered work of clever instrumentation, the album teeters over into a place that feels like it’s trying a bit too hard. The kind of thing you’d hear in a coffee shop that sells £10 lattes, it’s a weird record to digest.
