    The album has some okay moments but feels ultimately lackluster and a copy and paste project sampling trends from the past years. Most notably most of the songs sound like copies of songs from Future Nostalgia without any attempt to cover it up.

    It´s so terrible that it doesn't even deserve a review. I can only say that at least this album is better than Witness (and that's not a compliment) and there are two good songs like Never Really Over and Cry About it Later. Katy Perry should really think about retiring, because she's adding literally nothing to the music industry. "but she's indie now". No, she's not even that.

En letras (como casi siempre) se denota mucho poder, su voz en algunas canciones como What Makes a Woman es en verdad muy suave y agradable al oído, pero es la única canción del disco junto a Only Love que pude escuchar hasta el final sin aburrirme. Un álbum que obviamente recuerda a la¡Triste pero real! Katy Perry de verdad entró en el flop. No podia creerlo hasta que escuche este disco.     The amount of ageism and sexism in the Critics reviews is annoying but not surprising. This is a very impressive album, pure pop gold down to it's core, what makes a woman is one of the best songs of the year!!!

    First, it includes singles that were released almost or more than a year ago. For me that is Lack of creativity for making new songs. Next, 12 songs for an “iconic” album, really? 12 songs is nothing and only 8 are really new songs, I really think that is, besides lack of creativity, also lack of interest for achieving an award or returning something to    This album is a really weird one.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
