    Um álbum que infelizmente não apresentou nada de novo. Parece um compilado das músicas descartadas de Witness. Faltou criatividade e originalidade. Os singles até agora se mostraram muito fracos. Espero que no próximo, a Katy consiga se reinventar.

    Compared to her other works, this one sounded so ... reductive. The songs are tolerable, but sometimes I wanted to sleep in the middle of the album. It wasn't this time!

    As a "feel good" vibe album, is gleeful to hear, but nothing beyond that. It's quite superficial, while taking about supposedly deap matters/thoughts. It doesn't convince you about her truth, but is enough to believe that she believes in it. It's okay, nothing too noisy. It doesn't bother nor excites me to the point of been be memorable. It's quite forgettable.

    It should be called Frown rather than Smile. There wasn’t a single ounce of originality in this album. She hasn’t been able to release good music since 2013. And even that was a stretch. Come on Katy. Give us good music, that you put your heart and soul into. This just ain’t it. You may have finally got back your smile, but you need to get back your talent..

    Unfortunately not her best work. It's an album full of things we have already heard through her career. Considering a large amount of promo, I would have expected an album as catchy as "Teenage Dream" which "Smile" is not at all.
    Best tracks: "Daisies" ( the only song I'd listen to a second time).

    Painfully the same Katy we’ve seen for years, with similar sounding beats and overproduction. There are some okay tracks on here, but not enough to fully save it. We can’t easily give her good reviews just because she’s Katy Perry. This album has to at least live up to its predecessor’s, to which it does not.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
