There's a little vibe of TD, an essence of Witness and a lot of Color of Prism, but this new sound push the audience into a different and great zone. We got a knew Perry right here, more into disco, indie and classic pop, a new essence that is good to hear while mix different sounds and feelings to create and achieve herThis is an unexpected album.     This is an album we needed RIGHT NOW . The production is great & of high quality. The album makes you feel grateful for everything you've got. She has improved soooo much vocally & she sounds better than ever. If it was up to me I'd thank her in person for this record.

    Katy Perry finally back her smile and her essence, something that few artists manage to do. Although some sounds remind us of Teenage Dream, which is her best album in my opinion, it does not mean that she is giving us the same old thing. She preserves her pop nuances and gives us a mature album that brings us musical gems such as Never Really Over, Cry About It Later, Daisies, Not The EndKaty Perry finally back her smile and her essence, something that few artists manage to do. Although some sounds remind us of Teenage Dream, which is her best album in my opinion, it does not mean that she is giving us the same old thing. She preserves her pop nuances and gives us a mature album that brings us musical gems such as Never Really Over, Cry About It Later, Daisies, Not The End Of The World, Champagne Problems, etc. She has given the best of herself in this new era and even if she does not receive all the recognition she deserves, she has already rewarded herself, forming a beautiful family with the arrival of her newborn and also releasing music with which she feels comfortable that is not just any music since it is music therapy that helps us recover from many sad moments and finally smile.… Expand

    SMILE tiene sonidos bastante interesantes, hace una mezcla de Teenage Dream y un nuevo rumbo. Me siento emocionado con los bajos que contrapone en Cry About It later. Es una excelente artista y merece un mejor reconocimiento.

    Katy regresa absolutamente cómoda con su arte ella sabe la magnitud de su estrella y hace lo que le gusta transmite absolutamente lo que quiere y en este albúm deja su huella nuevamente, su música nunca pasará de moda, ella no necesita probar nada así como es es perfectamente fiel a lo que es.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
