    "Smile", novo álbum de Katy Perry, traz uma proposta interessante. Com menos de 40 minutos de duração, o álbum é extremamente fácil de ser ouvido. O ponto fraco do "Smile" é ele ter algumas faixas genéricas demais, em uma tentativa desesperada de trazer a "antiga Katy" de volta.

    #Smile  is everything I needed to hear in one album. It’s the message of hope, resilience, and healing we could all use more of in 2020. I’ve been a witness to your incredible journey since 2008, but seeing you smile this bright has been my favorite part.

    KP5 aka Smile is, unexpectedly, her best work yet. Unexpectedly is the key word when describing Smile. While there are definitely tracks that sound very familiar with her previous work (for example, Not the End of the World, the younger sister of Dark Horse and Black Widow) Smile sounds like a brand new Katy Perry, like the story of how Katheryn Hudson was so close to lose herself during and after the Witness era, a very misunderstood and mistreated musical moment in its own right, and rebuilt herself brick by brick. Never Really Over, Cry About It Later and Teary Eyes are the first chapter of the story. Pure pop bops each carrying the message of never being over, of taking a break for the sake of your mental health, and face the darkness with teary eyes. The second chapter-Daisies, Resilient and Not the End of the World-is about self-confidence, resilience, strength, and healing. The third chapter-Smile, Champagne Problems, Tucked and Harleys in Hawaii-marks the regain of happiness and love. And finally, the fourth chapter-Only Love and What Makes a Woman-is perhaps the best closing of any of her albums. There's Katheryn Hudson, a woman full of love and without any regrets.     You have to be honest, for an artist of the stature of Katy Perry this is not a good album. It's not soo bad and it's okay that i wanted to make a personal album, however that doesn't mean that this album is forgetful anf boring.

    All songs from this album are good, with no skips and her best album since Teenage Dream. These "Critics" should be ashamed of criticizing her as a person instead of her album. We know who y'all stan.

    One of her bests records ever, she is a super queen, she always gave us what we need, she can touch our soul and heart, i love all songs, the album is very cohesive, dance, pop, and she really gave my smile back with that album. Hope she receives the recognition she deserves. My favorites are “Cry About it Later”, “Teary Eyes”, “Not the End of the World”, “Daisies”, “Never Really Over”,One of her bests records ever, she is a super queen, she always gave us what we need, she can touch our soul and heart, i love all songs, the album is very cohesive, dance, pop, and she really gave my smile back with that album.     Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
