    Well, maybe the best album of KP. PERIOD! So dance, inspiring, mature and motivational. The best vocals of the whole career. She doesn't need to prove anything else, as she is OWN pop.

    It's absurd see how she can explore the pain, the sadness, the joy, the superation of a heart broken (from a relationship tha'ts not ended well or a being teached to be humble again) and put a smile (as the title of the album suggest) on our face.

    i was amazed since the first second of listening cry about it later, this album is a reflection of Katy's self-esteem nowadays. it's so comforting knowing she's okay. she makes us feel this way too, the rhythms are everything, the choirs exquisite. Katy really lifted up her music, the industry just hates her, she deserves better reviews

    An incredible work from Katy. Definitely a step up from Witness. Her song-writting, her production, her storytelling throughout the album and her delivery are absolutely contagious. An extremely well crafted body of work.

    Katy Perry delivered an incredible album this year where we were in need of resilience and encouragement. All of the songs connect, Perry's mature lyrics and vocals are constantly evolving. "Cry About It Later", "Teary Ayes" and "Not The End Of The World" are the songs that most stand out in this work. Resillient brings you to another world that is so perfect. Smile Album Of The Year.

    That's the best Katy's album. It shows some maturing sound and lyric which isn't present in other albums of her. It's more cohesive than witness and teenage dream, and in some parts it brings back the memory of "one of the boys".

    This album really made me SMILE. Thank you Katy for this album! This is her best work so far! I really cried when I heard Only Love. This album really speaks to my soul especially the experience with depression that I had last year. The album is also full of bops relatable lyrics and no skips!     Not a huge fan but this is one of her best works if not the best. Cry about it later , not the end of the world, tucked , champagne problems are the best. Only love hold its own ground while teary eyes and harleys in Hawaii are nearly perfect in their production.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
