    Smile is a personal album of Katy. She never disappoints me. I especially love Harley's in Hawaii, one of the best songs released by Katy, Never Really Over, Smile, What Makes A Woman and Daisies. I love you, Katy. You rock mama. ❤️

    It is strange how many fans of Lady Gaga insist on coming here to give a low rating to the album.
    Smile is a much more pleasant and cohesive project than the previous Witness. Katy is more comfortable with the sound and more confident in her compositions. Cyr it About Later would undoubtedly be a commercially successful single with a proper promotion

Whereas on Witness, IMO, Katy was trying too hard.     I must say I didn't like witness very much but this one is really good...
    I didn't think any of the songs is a skip ....all have something to vibe to ....I was in much need of this album after a month of jamming to folklore :)

The lyrics are very honest and realistic, much of what today’s pop music lacks. It's a really cohesive album, maybe the only one from Katy. There's no skip for me, no song I disliked, I enjoyed all the tracks. It was a really good ride. Vocals are on point, lyrics are great and inspiring, melodies are amazing. This album is aI wonder if the critics listened to the same album as me, because SMILE doesn't deserve all these negative critic reviews and ratings at all. It's a really cohesive album, maybe the only one from Katy. There's no skip for me, no song I disliked, I enjoyed all the tracks. It was a really good ride. Vocals are on point, lyrics are great and inspiring, melodies are amazing. This album is a mix between Witness (more mature) and her past projects (more sweet-pop) and it works really well.
    The title was right, I smiled listening to this new project, I also cried of joy. I'm so happy for Katy, now she's in peace with herself and she's doing what she likes, no matter what people are saying. What she says in "Only Love" is beautiful and so true : "Let me leave this world with the hate behind me, and take the love instead."

    Seriously, give this album a chance, don't read what critics are saying, SMILE doesn't deserve to be underrated like that. This is one of Katy's best albums so far, and one of the best albums this year for sure.    … Expand

    Katy ha crecido y en este álbum se le notan letras mucho más maduras gracias a todo lo que ha vivido, siempre conservando los sonidos que las hacen brillar.

    O tanto que a Katy Perry serviu nesse álbum... Descreveu tudo o que estava sentindo esses últimos anos e foi perspicaz. A crítica sempre vai esculachar a Katy independente se ela servir ou não porque eles têm raiva dela. Smile é um álbum impecável e com toda certeza vai me trazer mais felicidade no meu dia a dia

    A Katy entregou a sua alma nesse álbum, cada verso tem um sentimento tão especial na sua vida que nos faz sentir tudo que ela passou nos últimos 3 anos. Ela venceu, venceu e entregou um material com muita qualidade e que vai fazer com os ouvintes se identifiquem com cada emoção posta ali.     Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
