    This album didn't surpass my expectations, but it didn't exactly go below them either. Rare is a pretty solid comeback for Selena and I think it is a pretty good album that I will probably consider listening to again. However, it is also sometimes a bit bland and might not really stand out in general, but it stands out in her discography nonetheless. Although Rare isn't life-changing, IThis album didn't surpass my expectations, but it didn't exactly go below them either. Rare is a pretty solid comeback for Selena and I think it is a pretty good album that I will probably consider listening to again. However, it is also sometimes a bit bland and might not really stand out in general, but it stands out in her discography nonetheless. Although Rare isn't life-changing, I definitely think it's worth the listen if you're looking for a decent, new pop release.… Expand

    Selena Gomez marks a triumphant return with “Rare”. Her vocals are breathy and delicate, a perfect compliment to the unique rhythmic beats and synths of “Rare”. Stand outs include opener, “Rare” a pop perfection self love anthem, “Lose You to Love Me”, a tender ballad about leaving a toxic relationship, and the albums dreamy and emotional, “Sweeter Place” featuring Kid Cudi.

    Just a complete amazing body if work. They sound fresh. Something you haven't heard before. Her vocals have improved a hell lot and the production in this album is just next level. Vulnerable is my fave for now. It keeps changing. This album you just can't choose one to be your favorite, it'll be unfair to the others.

    La espera valió la pena, sin duda. Es increíble escuchar la madurez de la voz de Selena en un álbum tan interesante como lo es Rare y la naturalidad en que puede mezclar la atmósfera relajante y bailable al mismo tiempo.
    Indiscutiblemente, el mejor trabajo discrográfico de Gómez.

    El mejor álbum de Selena hasta la fecha, muestra a una artista madura, que refleja en cada letra y cada sonido el procesos creativo y espiritual que ha recorrido.
    Cada canción es única y encuentra su lugar en el álbum al enlazarse perfectamente, refleja el título del álbum "Rare".
    Hay cohesión y resulta interesante ver la madurez con la que Selena acierta nuevamente en el pop.

    I see some negative reviews and most of them are biased from crazy stans. They hate an artist so much and can’t put their pride aside for actual good music. This album maybe a grower but it’s very futuristic and fresh. Production is way better than revivals which is insane.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
