    Give her the Album of the Year GRAMMY right now. Production is phenomenal. Clear outliers and best tracks on the album are Vulnerable, Cut You Off, Dance Again, and People You Know. The guitar rift in the middle of Cut You Off is one of the best things my ears have ever felt.

This album touches on many sensitive topics of gomez’s life regarding her healing process and being able to love herself again, but also doesn’t fail to deliver a handful of tracks that the listener can dance to.     Such a mature album. You can clearly see how Selena has improved through her music in rare. She definitely had to something to say in this album and it came out amazingly. Bravo Selena, can’t even pick my favorite track yet, they’re all great

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
