    Every track of RARE is a lesson of self love and how life can be fun. Refreshing, high quality, well produced and Gomez’s vocals are serving a good treat for the ears. Songs like Dance Again, Sweeter Place and Let Me Get Me makes you wanna stand up and make some moves. Awesome.

    Im in love with this album, the songs are funky and different. Im not missing the Spanish vibe at all. It was worth to wait 4 years for this, and also glad she chose rare as her 2nd single :)

    Selena is back after five long years and this masterpiece was so worth the wait. Selena keeps developing her sound and experiments a lot. The album sounds more mature and personal than her previous work and it was hard to live up to the influential pop masterpiece "Revival". The lyrics are very personal and relatable. Rare grows on the electronica of its predecessor "Revival", evolving into a modern ambient pop sound. It flows like a cascade from start to end, revealing us Gomez's life in form of infectious pop tunes. Gomez's mental growth and evolution reflects in the album's sound and lyrics. She has clearly outdid herself. This is Selena Gomez at her best. This is the kind of album you would wanna play while driving in the night on a highway or cleaning your house all alone.     This album is so real and she delves into her personal life and gets real about not only her struggles of her past 5 years but also finding a way to heal and become her best self. She plays with new sounds that fit her voice and makes songs that you can dance but you can also cry to.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
